Chapter V: Connections

Audrey drove the car and heard Alicia breathing heavily.

"Are you ok?"

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"How did you get to my house?"

"I ran from the woods."

"As a wolf?"

"No, as a human."

"Why didn't you use your powers?"

"Wouldn't people freak out if they saw a wolf running through the streets, and turn into a human?"

"Point taken."

Audrey took a wrong turn.

"Where are we going? The mall is right there."

"I thought we could make a quick stop."

They pulled up to the coffee shop.

"You stay here, I'll go grab the coffees."

Audrey went inside and got the coffees, she went back in the car, and Alicia was fast asleep.

"Alicia?"

Alicia halfway woke up.

"Yeah, mom?"

"Drink this, it'll help."

"Ok."

Alicia drank the coffee. She woke up.

"Morning sleepy head."

"Hey Audrey, thanks for the coffee. It's my favorite type, how did you know?"

"Yesterday, I overheard you order the same thing as me, so I thought that it was your favorite."

"You know me well."

They drove to the mall. When they got inside, the mall was packed.
