"W-What do you mean 'you know'??
"How come you believe me now?!"
"What the hell changed your mind!?"
Katsuki didn't mean to sound angry, he really wasn't he was more curious then upset.
"P-Please don't be mad."
Izuku begged, backing up a little, making Bakugo freeze in his steps.
He needed to stay calm, he can't be scaring Izuku.
He'll just go back into his shell, and Katsuki didn't want than in the least.
"I'm not mad. "
"I... Let me start over. "
"What I'm trying to ask is why you believe me now?
Katsuki, calmly asked, taking a seat in his desk chair.
Hoping Midoriya felt a bit safer now that he wasn't shadowing over the greenette.
"Because.......I saw him. "
"When!?"
Katsuki quickly asked, jumping out of his seat but stopping in his tracks when he noticed the greenette flinch.
"I-Uhm earlier. "
"The guy that I knocked into, I got a glimpse of his face, and.... and when he told me to be quite......"
"I couldn't even speak anymore, to apologize. "
Izuku explained, twiddling with his fingers.
They both looked just alike, yet both had two different personalities.
The one he remembers extremely well, was sadistic, cold, and terrifying.
But the blonde in front of him, he had his anger issues anyone could see that.
But he also was soft, and sweet rather he wanted to admit it or not.
And once he cares for someone, he'll never stop.
Izuku finally figured out why he felt so safe with someone who hurt him, that was because they really weren't the same people.
"Wait!"
"That was him!?"
"Fuck."
"Did he get a good look at you?"
"Does he know you were who he was talking to?"
"I might need to call-"
"No!"
"Please don't!"
"I don't wanna cause anymore trouble, maybe it's for the best."
"I-If they take me then.... at least everyone will be s-safe right?"
"I don't want Eri to get hurt.... I don't want y-you getting hurt either. "
Bakugo scoffed at the greenette.
"Damn it nerd."
"Even when you have no memory of being a fucking hero, you still care for others more then your damn self!"
"Why are you always fucking like this!?"
"Your not going back understand?"
"I promised you, that I wouldn't let them hurt you anymore didn't I?"
"Yes, but-"
"Didn't I!?"
The freckled boy let a smile slip pass his lips.
He didn't want to feel as happy as he was, he was trying to talk the blonde into giving up and letting him go back.
But Katsuki made him want to be protected.
"K-Kacchan.... "
"I don't want anyone else to be hu-"
"As long as the league exist we'll always be in danger. "
"Everyone will always be in danger, that's why heros exist. "
"To protect them from that danger, and your my reason for existing Izuku, because I want to protect you! "
"I lost you once already and I'm not losing you again got it?!"
By now tears were streaming down Midoriya's face.
He couldn't help it.
He never thought anyone would ever care enough to want him to live.
"O-Ok..... "
"But can you please not bother Eraser head and his family for the night?"
"We can tell him tomorrow?"
Izuku half suggested, ruffly wiping his tears.
He hated crying, even if they were happy tears.
"Tch, fine nerd. "
"But only tonight, then I'm telling him tomorrow, deal?"
"Deal."
Izuku agreed, a soft smile gracing his lips.
"S-So does that mean your no longer scared of me?"
Izuku thought about it for a moment before replying.
"I-I'm not as scared. "
"But you know, I'm not him. "
Bakugo glared, more at the floor then Izuku.
Though the floor didn't really do anything either.
But he didn't want Midoriya to believe he was mad at him.
"I know!"
"It's just.....you look like him. "
"So everytime I-I see you.... "
Midoryia trailed off unable too finish his sentence, due to the blonde's hurt expression.
"Your reminded of what happened."
Bakugo completed, sighing a little after wards.
"I'm sorry Kacchan-"
"Don't apologize Deku. "
"I'm happy that you know I'm not him, so that's a fucking start right? "
Bakugo wasn't the best at seeing the bright side.
He wasn't negative but he also wasn't a positive person.
He was just more realistic.
But he didn't want Izuku feeling bad, for still being scared of him.
It's not like it was his fault anyway, the poor greenette had trauma seeded deep into him.
And sadly Katsuki looked just like the person that caused it.
"Thanks Kacchan.... "
"Tch, whatever. "
"Just stating facts. "
"Now go to bed. "
"We have a long day tomorrow."
Katsuki declared, laying in his make shift bed on the floor, all while Izuku laid down in the blonde's bed.
He thought about asking the blonde if he wanted to come up, but to Izuku that was to soon.
He still wasn't 100% comfortable being around Katsuki but he was trying.
Especially now that he knew Bakugo didn't do anything wrong.... As long as you don't count middle school.
But in all honesty with everything the greenette had been threw he could easily forgive Bakugo as long as he asks.....
"and your my reason for existing Izuku, because I want to protect you!
Bakugo's words bounced around the freckled teen's head.
Sending butterflies flying all around his stomach.
Why was he feeling this way??
He questioned, but decided that could be an answer for another day, as he drifted to sleep.
