The five stages of grief.
It's a quite popular thing to deal with when something or someone very important to you passes on.
Rather it be a broken toy you've had since you were a baby.
Or a tv show that meant the world to you, finally ending.
However in most cases when you hear these phrases, it's because someone passed on.
Many people deal with death differently, but somehow everyone always deal with these five stages sooner or later.

First comes, denial.

"HE'S NOT FUCKING DEAD!!"
"Y'ALL SHITTY DOCTORS JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO YOUR JOBS CORRECTLY!!"

The second stage, anger.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!!?"

"WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU GIVING UP ON HIM!!?"

"HE'S FUCKING ALIVE!!"

Third stage, bargaining.

"Y'ALL ASSHOLES CAN EITHER DO YOUR JOB RIGHT!"
"OR I WILL BURN THIS WHOLE PLACE TO THE GROUND!!"

Then in set the forth stage, depression.

However the forth stage can take a lot longer to get through.
Heck all of the stages can.
Till you finally reach the final stage, acceptance.

But Bakugo he never quite got out of the fourth stage.
He watched as a year pass and everyone slowly got over the death of Izuku Midoriya.
Completely forgetting him in fact, at least that's what it seemed like.
No one ever really showed up at his grave anymore.
At first there were dozens of flowers and cards, so much you couldn't even see his grave stone.
But as time passed, the gifts became less and less, even when his birthday came along everyone treated it like a normal day.
Like the ray of sunshine, that everyone so dearly loved in one way or another, hadn't brutally been killed, sacrificing himself for some many people.
If for Katsuki himself.

The blonde was the only one who seemed to still be upset over the death of Izuku.
He often went to the greenette's grave, informing him of all his so called friends progress.
Telling him how much he missed him, and wished he could turn back the clock to where he could switch places with the freckled boy.

It often pissed Katsuki off that no one really came to see the greenette anymore.
His so called friends seemed to have completely forgotten about him.
But Bakugo, ironically enough the same kid who ruthlessly bullied said boy, was the only one who seemed to remember
Izuku had ever existed.

Katsuki could feel himself slowly fading out of life, slowly disappearing from the world.
He hadn't eaten in almost a month due to not having an appetite.
His grades were slowly slipping as well, and his physic wasn't any better.
If he could he would never get out of bed, but sadly he did need to go to school, plus he made sure to always make time to visit Midoriya's grave.
He wasn't the same loud obnoxious teen, everyone once knew.
He didn't dream of being the number one hero, nor did he boost about how he was gonna become better then the number one hero.

He just existed.
He lost his light, the day Midoryia died, and he wished he had realized sooner how much the freckled boy meant to him.

The blonde did have to give the bakusquad, as they called themselves, credit.
Anytime he did miss school cause getting out of bed seemed impossible.
They brought him his school work and check up on him.
Each one of them made sure to bring him food of some sorts, though he never really ate it.
And they would try to talk him into going out, and when he would refused they'd just hang around in his room playing video games or watching some stupid show.
Every once in awhile Katsuki did find himself smiling a tad bit, even letting out a quite chuckle but he'd never admit it.

However when he was left alone yet again, the sadness and guilt began to eat at him.

He never once treated Midoriya right, not even when they were younger.
He still called him weak and stupid, but as the years went by the bullying only got worst.

Up until the ending of middle school, when Katsuki told him to take a swan dive off a roof.
He knew he went to far then, heck everything he said or did to Izuku was too far.
But he didn't clearly see that till he watched Midoryia's broken eyes filled with tears, staring at him with the most shocked and anger look he had ever seen the freckled boy produce.
But he was to late, the words had already left his mouth, and the other two extra's only taunted him more, claiming he'd fail at even doing something as simple as killing his own self.

Bakugo wanted to apologize, for everything.
He tried a few times, but the words never seem to come out right, and he always ended up throwing either explosions or insults at the poor boy.

And then that stupid idiot got himself killed, making Bakugo realize how much he needed Izuku.
He needed to see those damn freckles.
Those huge freakishly cute eyes.
And his big bright smile.
The one that seemed to never leave his face, not even when he was at his death bed.
He had naturally and stupidly assumed Izuku would always be there.
Always alive and risking his life for no good reason.
So he of course thought he had plenty of time to make up for all he had done, and then the guilt he was feeling would go away.
He hadn't realized how much he truly needed Midoryia.

He just wanted Izuku back.
