These fourteen days have been durable, so far. I can walked in the hallways without giving a fuck about people throwing a look at me. I manage to keep a straight face while ignoring them.

I have learned to calm down. Or maybe I just live with it 'cause I know I cannot avoid it.

We stopped moving and stared at each other before we laughed.

I was surprised to see her standing next to the door like she's waiting for me. Well, she's waiting for me.

I approached her and she beamed her brightest smile that means so much to me after all these days. That's what I've been wanting to see. Aside from my friends, siya lang ang binigyan ako nang ganoong ekspresyon.

I'm starting to like her.

She gave me a cup of coffee that I immediately declined. "Nagtratrabaho ka ba dito?" Hindi kasi pamilyar ang mukha niya.

Mabilis siyang umiling.

"Applying?"

And her smile is known again. "I'm just going to impress an important someone today. I hope I'll be able to do it."

Napangiti na lang ako. With that personality, I'm sure she can truly charm that someone.

"I should go," paalam ko habang tinitignan ang relo. The alloted time was fitted for my travel by the elevator.

Tumango naman siya. "Okay. You should go now. I'll be waiting for my boyfriend before climbing up. Have a nice day!"

I waved my hand as I turned my back against her. Perhaps this day will turn out great. Meeting a nice person might be a sign.

I put my bag on my desk as I switch on my computer. I kinda feel motivated that only a week remains before banishing this company and all the memories I have with it.

Theo's place has become my getaway place.

I tried to recall if there will be an event happening today but I can't find any at the back of my mind.

I heard their cheerful chatters and laughters. There's even congratulatories and comments about being jealous. They were towering the center of the crowd making me hate my height.

But the laughter died down when Layla took notice of my presence. It's like my presence is a bad news.

My vision caught two familiar backs and it caused my heart to drop the moment they turned in my direction.

"Hi!" The girl from earlier said when she recognized me.

Babe!" She looked at the man that used to be mine, and somehow, I cannot hate her. "Siya iyong nakita ko kanina. She's so nice."
