"I'm sorry honey, but I have to." He tried to apologize. Emma forced a smile. "It's okay, I know how important this is to you." Emma replied. "Look, why don't you go and enjoy yourself. There's no reason for you to miss going to the beach."
Riley listened intently from her hiding place behind the tree. "Do you want your chair?" Derek was asking her. "No, you can take it back to the room with yours. Oh, here's your key to the room."
Emma exclaimed taking the small card out from her bag. Derek took the card from her. "I'll see you later honey." Derek said and planted a small kiss on her cheek. Emma smiled and watched him disappear into the hotel.
She found herself not as disappointed as she thought she would be as she turned around and walked back over to where Riley was hiding. She came around the tree with a playful smile upon her face.
"Derek has to do a zoom meeting with the hospital, some people from China are visiting the hospital today. They weren't supposed to come until next week but decided to do a surprise visit." Riley just nodded.
Riley was leaning against the trunk of the tree with her arms crossed in front of her chest. "So, wanna get out of here?" Riley asked flashing her a smile. Emma's smile grew bigger and nodded.
The two women started walking off in the direction of the beach. Up ahead was a small place that rented out jet skis. "I've always wanted to ride on one of those!" Emma exclaimed looking at Riley with shining eyes.
"Really? You?" Riley teased. "Uh huh, why do you act surprised?" Emma asked her. "Because last I knew you weren't very spontaneous." Riley reminded her. "I guess you could say I've done some changing."
Emma exclaimed; Riley grinned. The women walked up to the man renting out the jet skis. "I got one left to rent out." The young surfer dude announced easily. "Oh," Riley exclaimed, glancing at Emma.
"We could share," Emma suggested. "It'd be cheaper too." Emma explained. Riley turned back to the guy. "We'll take it." The man nodded and then noticed Emma's bag. "I got some lockers with locks over there for your personal items if you want to use one."
"Thanks man," Riley thanked him and the women walked over to the lockers. Riley turned to see Emma slipping off her skirt and putting it in the bag. Her eyes traveled over Emma's body. She had to shake her head to rid her mind of the images it left.
Riley pulled the white wife beater she was wearing off of her revealing a light blue bikini top that matched her blue swim trunks. Emma looked up then and scanned Riley's toned body. "Mind if I put my shirt and phone in your bag?"
Riley asked her coming up to her. "No, not at all." Emma exclaimed trying to keep her eyes on Riley's face. Riley placed her things in the bag Emma was holding without breaking eye contact with Emma.
Ten minutes later Riley sat down easily on the seat of the jet ski. Then Emma climbed on back. She nervously reached her arms around Riley's mid-section. Riley swallowed hard. "You ready?" Riley asked clearing her throat nervously.
"Yeah, let's do it!" Emma said happily. Riley started the engine and then slowly started to take off. It was like driving a four-wheeler, so it was relatively easy. Emma tightened her hold on the woman in front of her.
Riley's hands gripped the handlebars tightly as Emma's thighs squeezed her legs. Emma inhaled deeply of Riley's scent. Even her scent was the same as it used to be. It sent a shiver up the woman's spine.
There were only a few lazy clouds drifting slowly by in the sky. It was a beautiful day to be out on the water. After about ten minutes of riding around Riley brought the jet ski to a halt in the water. She turned her head as much as she could to look behind her.
