The crew had gotten back on the ship and they set sail for another two weeks, Jim and Annie hadn't seen much of each other since the chicken fiasco that Silver and Mr. Arrow somehow found about. They decided that more work would be suitable for their punishment after all how could they get into trouble without seeing each other. Mr. Arrow walked through the pathway of the galley with two mugs in his hands in search of his niece Annie, he reached the stairs and found Jim sitting on it. He raised an eyebrow at the boy, finding it odd that he hasn't made any friends besides Annie and that pink blob he's seen floating about.

"Are you alright Mr. Hawkins?" Mr. Arrow questioned the young boy with a brow raised.

Jim jumped slightly startled at the voice, lost in his.own thoughts he looked up and found Mr. Arrow peering down at him. Clearing his throat Jim gave a small smile as he said.

"Yeah, just waiting for the stories to start up."

"Oh that's tonight." Mr. Arrow hummed out in thought, he knew Annie loved stories and he was sure this crew would love to reenact everything that happened. "I'll let Annie know about it, she loves listening to any kind of story."

Jim's smile started to turn slightly dopey at the mention of the girl's name, Mr. Arrow took notice of it and concealed his grin. Jim's thoughts then took him back to his mother, how alone she must be back at Delbert's place with no one there. Jim couldn't help but feel even more worried that she was probably worrying about the two of them, he knew how sick she could get from just worrying about him but with Delbert who knows what might happen. Jim looked forward towards the crew and let out another sigh and rested his chin in the palm of his hand.

"You know the best way to cure one's wariness is with a cup of joe, or cocoa in Annie's case." Mr. Arrow suggested with a small nod to where the cocoa, coffee and tea were.

Jim looked over there as well, he then glanced up at Mr. Arrow and gave him a half smile.

"Thanks for the advice."

"No problem, now do you know where Annie is?" Mr. Arrow shrugged it off as he asked Jim.

"Yeah I think I saw her out on deck."

Mr. Arrow gave a small thank you before moving up the galley stairs, Jim moving over so the large man could pass through. Once Mr. Arrow was gone, Jim glanced over to where the cocoa was and then up at the stairs. Mr. Arrow stood on top of the galley stairs, looking over the deck of the ship for his niece and that's when he found her leaning against the railing and letting the wind blow through her hair. Letting out a sigh as he walked towards his niece and cleared his throat.

"So Annie, how's your journey going so far?" Mr. Arrow questioned the young girl, handing her a mug of coco.

"It's been amazing uncle, even more amazing then I thought it would be and nostalgic." Annie gushed to Jim with a wide smile on her face, resting her forearms on the railing and holding the mug in both of her hands as she looked out to the starry night sky.

"Nostalgic?" Mr. Arrow bummed out with furrowed eyebrows as he looked down at the girl, resting his back against the railing, one hand holding a mug of his own.

Annie looked up at Mr. Arrow and gave him a warm smile as she told him.

"Yeah I don't remember much of my parents but I could always remember looking up at the night sky and smelling coco, hearing laughter and just feeling safe and warm."

"It sounds like a good memory." Mr. Arrow says as he smiles softly down at the girl. "Maybe you'll find more along the way, I know you were going through a lot when you lost them but know that Amelia and I are always here for you if you ever need to talk."

Annie couldn't stop the grin from forming on her face, she took a sip of coco from her mug and looked back at the stars.

"I know."

Mr. Arrow studied the girl for a minute waiting for her to open up about a certain boy that always seems to find trouble wherever he goes. When Annie didn't say anything he decided to ask.

"So you and Mr. Hawkins seem to be getting along rather well. Is there anything I should be concerned about?"

Annie's eyes widened as she whipped her head to stare at her uncle in shock, as she exclaimed loudly with disbelief.

"Uncle Nikolas!"

"What? I'm just curious, he hasn't tried anything has he?" Mr. Arrow started teasing, knowing it would get on her nerves.

Annie let out a groan and set her mug on the railing before burying her face in the palms of her hands, Mr. Arrow let out a chuckle at the girl's embarrassment as he went on.

"Come on you can tell me, I'm sure I'm more approachable on this subject then your mother is. So let's have some, what do they call it. Girl talk."

Annie let out another groan, this time slightly muffled by her hands and Mr. Arrow let out a loud laugh at that. Annie tore her hands from her face and glared up at her uncle, tired of his teasing.

"We're just friends uncle, that's all." Annie told the rock man picking up her mug and taking a sip from it to hide her burning cheeks.

"Yes, the just friends excuse I believe my wife and I used in the first few months of our relationship." Mr. Arrow joked slightly as he rubbed his chin thoughtfully, when he glanced down at Annie and saw her deadpanned face he let out a chuckle before going on. "In all seriousness he's a good kid, a little rough around the edges but a good kid nonetheless."

"You really think so?" Annie asked him in shock, thinking her uncle really didn't like the boy.

"Of course, and I was telling the truth a couple of weeks ago. I really do approve of him if you ever do start dating and he'd also be remarkable at the Installer Academy." Mr. Arrow said honestly as he glanced over to the galley where Jim and the crew were gathered.

"I agree with the Installer Academy part, and like I said before we're just friends." Annie said as she stood up from her position and leaned her body against Mr. Arrow's arm as she said softly. "But it's nice to have your approval over something like that, so thanks."

Mr. Arrow smiled softly down in response, as he patted her head with his free hand. They stood like that for a few moments before hearing ruckus coming from the galleys, Mr. Arrow noticed Jim peeking his head out from the galley stairs before darting back in. Even now the boy couldn't stay away from his niece, she can claim their friends all she wants but Mr. Arrow knows deep down that they're going to be something great in the future.

"Why don't you join the crew down in the galley, I'm just going to go over a few things with your mother and then I'll say goodnight to you." Mr. Arrow suggested as he nodded his head over to the galley stairs.

Annie stood up and smiled up at her mentor/uncle and nodded her head in agreement as she said.

"Okay, I'll see you later."

Mr. Arrow nodded his head towards her to go on, and he smirked knowing that his match making skills will pay off eventually. Maybe not now but eventually. Annie walked down the galley stairs, but stopped when she spotted Jim still on the last few steps with a mug of coco of his own as he watched Silver turn his mechanical arm into a giant octopus. Annie smiled and sat down next to the boy as she leaned close to him and whispered.

"What did I miss?"

"Silver's telling us how he and this crew he worked for took down a giant octopus." Jim whispered back to the girl, looking at her through the corner of his eye. "He said that he was taking it on all by himself."

Annie's eyes widened and she quickly zeros in on Silver's tale, Jim couldn't help but smile at the girl. He couldn't help but want to hold on to this moment, being by her side made him feel like he belonged and as long as she was by his side he knew she could help him be a man. Along with Silver's help, he couldn't help but admit sourly as he turned his attention back to Silver's tale.
