Silver was behind the counter piling up dishes for Jim to do later, he knew that the crew were already either off to bed or on night watch. That's when he heard laughter coming down to the galley, he dropped the last bowl into the pile and walked over to the counter. That's when he saw Annie and Jim walking side by side into the galley, he wasn't surprised that the boy was grinning ear to ear.

Silver found out that Annie had a certain way of making people smile, he found himself smiling and laughing a lot more than he has for a while. Silver raised his eyebrow as he called out to Jim.

"Jimbo!"

Jim and Annie walked duo to the counter, Jim frowning as he looked up at the cyborg. Jim placed the bowls on the counter and questioned him.

"What is it, Silver? If it's about the dishes I'm on my way to do them right now."

"Don't worry about dishes, you'll do them later tonight. I've got a lesson to teach ya if ya wanted a break from all of these chores." Silver said as he washes his hands on his apron, he smirked when he saw Jim perk up with interest and Annie looking curious as well. "And Annie you can join us as well if you'd like." Silver suggested.

Jim looked up at Silver with wide eyes not expecting the cyborg to invite the girl, he quickly looked over at the girl and watched her curiously wondering what she was going to say. Annie smiled widely as she said with a nod of her head.

"I'd love to join you, I have some free time right now."

"Well Jimbo, that just leaves you." Silver said as both Annie and him looked over at the boy with raised eyebrows.

Jim being on the spot and seeing Annie look up at him with those big blue eyes couldn't help but agree. So the trio sat in the crows nest, Silver handing each of them a rope he smirked at them as he began to tie the knot.

"Now back in my day we didn't have any of those fancy things like solar surfers that you kids have nowadays." Silver explained as he looped the hole easily as he went on. "We had competitions on who could tie a knot faster, or just speed racing longboats. Now I used to be the champ of both of them, you see, could tie a knot in just under a minute."

Annie couldn't help but smile, it was great hearing stories from when the older generation did when they were younger. She watched in slight awe as Silver tied the knot perfectly and in fact under one minute, she had some troubles when she was training in the Academy so she's thankful that she can brush up on this again. Jim on the other hand was already bored, he could do this in his sleep better than Silver could.

In all honesty Jim thought he would be doing something more than just tying knots, but he couldn't complain too much because he was with Annie and that's what was keeping him there.

"Now Annie why don't ya give it a try." Silver suggested as he gestured to Annie's rope.

"Okay, forgive me, I'm a little rusty at this. So don't laugh when I fail too much." Annie joked as she gave a nervous smile to the two boys.

Annie tried to recall what Silver did, before trying the move only for the rope to lightly smack her in the face. Silver and Jim couldn't help but snort with laughter at the look of shock on her face, Annie blushed before trying again before this time her hair fell in her face. The boys began to laugh loudly at the girl's misfortune, Annie moved her blonde hair out of her face this time you could see her blushing darkly. Annie glared, annoyed with the boy's laughter as she suggested.

"Why don't you show me how to do it again, Silver."

Silver chuckled as he agreed and began to reshow her how to do the knot, Annie watched closely and as Silver finished she nodded her head in understanding before doing it. Jim smiled at the wide grin that came upon Annie's face when he saw the girl's face light up with joy.
