[over!! don't worry my children the gory bit is over. it wasn't too bad, but in case you skipped: lacy's dead body has perfect posture due to fishing lines. she was killed roughly twenty, thirty minutes ago. there is writing on the table in blood saying 'No Strings Attached' with a heart.]
"James, Rowland, take this one in for questioning, same with the one on the floor, but give that one proper shock treatment." The dark haired lady ordered. "Mr. Zeus, please have all your students in their dorms and start having your teachers notify parents of the murder. Make sure someone notifies this girl's parents."
Reyna was escorted out of the room, alongside a still trembling Annabeth. "Um, James, Rowland?" The two cops stared at her. "Why am I being questioned?"
She got into the cop car, helping Annabeth in as one of them answered. "Because you're a prime suspect. You know all about what happened, and murder facts that no sixteen year old should know."
"Can't a girl have her hobbies?" She defended herself.
"How are you staying so calm?" The not-driving one questioned as the car drove off campus.
"Hm? Calm? I just sort of shoved my emotions away, but don't worry, because they'll be back soon enough and I'll break down. I'm just running on adrenaline." Reyna answered, smiling politely.
They pulled up at the station, piling out of the car. Reyna froze as she actually looked at Annabeth. "Why do you have blood on your hands?" She questioned.
"We'll be asking questions, not you." One of the cops said. "Adrenaline girl, with me. Other one, with James."
"Rowland," Reyna commented, following him to a room. "Interesting last name."
"I didn't choose it," he replied shortly, taking a seat. Reyna sat opposite him. "What's your name?"
"Reyna Avila Ramirez-Arellano. Quite the mouthful." She stated.
"Age?"
"Sixteen, seventeen in two weeks." Reyna said.
"Why did you go to the science lab?"
"Ooh, we're getting down to the serious questions! I was with my friend Piper, making tea and hot chocolate, when we heard a scream. So we sprinted to the source of the scream, Annabeth, and ended up in the lab, where I kicked into adrenaline mode." Reyna rambled with half a smile.
"Explain to me what exactly adrenaline mode is."
"Fear. When you're afraid, you're better than ever. You do everything the best you can, because you're practically running on adrenaline. Fear is... well, fear is literally a superpower. And when I snap into adrenaline mode, the fear is pushing me forward, even though I don't feel afraid." Reyna answered honestly.
"How do you know all these murder statistics and facts?" Was the next question.
"I want to work in criminology," She answered. "I try to study as much as I can."
"Why?"
"I find it really interesting. Is that an issue?" She challenged.
"I ask the questions here, Miss Ramirez-Arellano. When will your adrenaline mode die out?"
"Soon," she answered honestly. She could almost feel it start to wear off.
"Is your adrenaline mode related to drugs?" He questioned.
"What? Do you really think I heard her scream and went, 'Oh, hey, let me just... take drugs or whatever!" Reyna ranted.
"Okay, okay. So that's no?" Rowland asked.
