Chapter 5-Mourning

Y/n pov

I screamed and bent down to hug Yuji's lifeless body. So that's it. He's just... gone.

Megumi sat down beside me with his head down and rubbed my back.

"It's going to be okay."

Tears flooded my eyes as I whined and whimpered for him to come back.

But he didn't.

My best friend is dead.

"Let me come back, Sukuna! I have to see Y/n!"

"You think I'm going to let you live again just so you can see my wife?"

"OH MY GOD, SHE'S NOT YOUR WIFE!"

"Yet."

"Well how do you expect to marry her if your stuck here with me, hm?"

"True. Y'know what? How about we strike a deal~"

Y/n pov

I sat on the steps with Nobara and Megumi as they talked about Yuji.

I started to cry softly so they stopped and talked about other stuff. I don't know why they would talk about his death in front of me to start with.

A girl with green hair walked up to us along with a panda and a guy with his mouth covered by a turtle neck.

"Wow, your more depressed then ever Megumi."

"I heard one of the first years died yesterday," the panda said.

"What! You couldn't tell me that earlier! Now I look like a complete jerk!"

Megumi explained who they were to Nobara as I listened with my head down.

"So who's the newbies?"

"Nobara."

"And the other one?"

"Doesn't matter. Just back off her for now."

"Yeah. Y/n is off limits!"

"Nobara, your fucking dumb."

"I just said her name didn't I..."

The green haired girl kneeled down next to me and tried to pick my head up but Nobara smacked her in the head.

"OFF. LIMITS."

She just groaned and walked back to the group.

I decided to stand up and walk to the only decent one there. Turtle neck.

I stood in front of him and put my hand out.

"I'm Y/n L/n. It's nice to meet you, Inumaki!"

I flashed a big smile and he hesitantly shook my hand.

"Salmon."

I giggled finding the way he had to talk a bit funny. Megumi walked up to me and grabbed my wrist tightly before dragging me away. I waved bye to Inumaki and followed.

When we got inside, Megumi scolded me for touching someone else along with Nobara for speaking to him.

I put my head down and nodded.
