Ammi came inside the room " umar's family is on the way." Ammi told us, frowning at zara she said " Oh Allah! Look at her, she looks like a beggar."
"Ammi" she cried. I bursted into a laughter again, Zara threw a pillow on my face earning a dead look from me.
" yeah please go take a bath or atleast change into something else, his family wouldn't even enter in the house if they see you like this" i couldn't stop laughing at her.
" i don't care, i won't change" she said folding her hand in determination.
" you wouldn't?" Ammi asked like a Mafia Boss. I couldn't get my eyes off her.
" yes, I'm damn sure" zara said  unaware of the look on Ammi's face.
" Zara!" Ammi yelled.
"Okay okay, " zara stepped out of the bed real quick, not wanting to get Ammi angrier than she already is.
Soon they arrived.

I was in kitchen. Standing still in a corner. " why do i have to go infront of his family? Even when I'm not even married to him?" I was beyond angry. I didn't know they would be coming to my house. When i asked Abbu to arrange a meeting i thought we will meet in a restaurant. And our family will have their elderly talk in the house.

"Why are you standing here like this?"Zara asked
"What else am i suppose to do?" I asked.
She raised a brow at my question" ab ye bhi mai bataun?" I rolled my eyes at her
"Jao ja kar chai paani do unko. Thoda sharmao warmao Sanskaari beti ki tarha" she said trying to make fun of me
i gave her a smug look.
" sharmaun woh bhi mai?" I smirked.
"Waise ye kya baat hai. Agar mujhe pata hota  T.V drama jaisa plan kr ke rkha hai to mai aati hi nahi" i complained.
Ammi came in the kitchen, saw us both talking "what are you both doing her?" She asked.
" complaining, what else would i do?" I asked her

"What happened to you now, what are you complaining about?" She asked.
I hold her hand in mine.
"Waise aap yahan kis kaam se aayi thi" i asked her, reminding her that she came here for some work.
" oh yeah, i came here for the tea" she started pouring tea into 5 cups.
" how many people have come from his family " i asked her. Looking at the cup.
"3 why?" She told me arranging the cups.
"Three? Then you have to make  one more cup.. 1 for you 1 for abbu 1 for me 1 for him.1 for his ammi 0 for his abbu?" I asked.
" there this no tea for you" she said controlling her laugh.
" what! why?" I asked shocked
" girls are shy when their rishta comes and here you are crying over a cup of tea." She said. I see no logic in what she just told me.
" here" she said gesturing me to take the tray of tea and go inside the living room.
I shook head in negatively.
She glared at me. I looked at Zara who had a hand over her mouth controlling laughter.
A pink blush started creeping up on my face from embarrassment.
" come on.. take it and go" Ammi ordered me.
" Ammi..mai nahi jaungi" i said, Ammi looked at me in disbelief.
"What?" I asked panicking.
"Ammi you didn't tell me i would have to go in there earlier" i reasoned her, but she doesn't look like she will listen to me.
" ek chai ka tray hi toh hai.. isko lekar jao andar" she said daring me to say no.
" AMMI" I cried.
"What ammi ammi, listen to me at least once, if you don't go in now your Abbu will scold me later" she said anger was taking over her.
See if you had to do this you should have told me earlier. Now i haven't even practiced once.. how can you expect me to go in there.

My heart beat kept rising as she was forcing me to go.
"Okay, but if they reject me.. don't come to scold me" i warned her, Oh god i feel like crying right now.
I wore my hijab.
And grabbed the tray with my shaky hand.
" okay, bismillah" i took deep breaths .
" Ab dekhna ek saal tak ghar nahi aungi. Dhokebaaz sare" i said earning a frown from Ammi. I quickly changed my anxious expression into a smiling face.
"Assalamualaikum" i greeted everyone in the room.
"Walekumassalam" everyone replied.
My family was sitting on the one set of sofa, Omar's family was sitting on the other.
Zara was following behind me.
"Assalamualaikum" she greeted "Walekumassalam" everyone greeted her back.
I went and put the tray on the table.
And sat on the single sofa. He was sitting beside me on other single sofa.
" Mashallah Rehan bhai, your daughters are very beautiful"
"Jazakallah khair" Abbu replied.

They talked for 15 min atleast, asked about me. Most of the thing Abbu had already told them about me.

I raised my gaze to look at him.
Ohh so he was handsome.
He was sitting so i can't tell about his height much, but it was sure that he wasn't short. He even seemed like around my age, had black hair and a trimmed beard. His dress sense didn't seemed to be bad.
If only i can have a talk with him alone.
Zara excused herself out of the room.
Lucky her, i sighed.
I was getting bored sitting here with elders. I don't even know where to look at.
Zara returned with my smartphone in her hand ringing.
" Appi your phone is ringing." I looked at my parents for permission to go, they nodded.
" excuse me" i said and get out of the room.
I sighed out of relief. Zara started walking fastly towards her room.
I started chasing her as she still has my phone. I would have yelled from downstairs if there weren't guests in the house right now.
I dashed into her room. "Why did you run away, give my phone back" i said gritting my teeth.
"Stop. Now you are going overboard here" she said handing me my phone.
I checked who was calling me and it was she herself calling me.
I looked at her confused.
"You were sitting there awkwardly so.." she said looking at me disgusted.
"Ohoo...so this small brain does work sometimes" i said grinning at her to which she rolled her eyes at me.
