*A Week Later*
"Delta Tomberlyn, will you kindly repeat what I just said?" my history teacher snapped.
"She asked what the first ten amendments were called," Ezra's voice said, ringing through my head, making me jump. Still, after a week, I was often startled when Ezra piped in. Only I could hear him, because, well when he walked through me, he somehow got stuck inside of my brain, I could hear everything he said, while to everyone else why I was smiling was a mystery. He could see and hear through my ears and eyes. Sometimes it was a little creepy but there were moments like these where it was so helpful. You see I never was one to pay attention in school, Ezra was the smart one.
"You asked what the first ten amendments were," I said, smiling at the teacher's shocked look because she must have been so sure I wasn't paying attention, well she was right, but Ezra was paying attention.
"Correct and Tomberlyn can you tell me what it was?" She asked. I glanced down at my empty page willing my pencil to self write me the answer. I quickly wrote down,
What is the answer to her question? I don't have forever. She is so strict, she will put me in detention, and I don't want to be in detention, I want ice cream. Please help me out! SOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"The Bill of Rights," Ezra said after a long pause as if he were testing the teacher's patience. What a good friend trying to land me in detention.
"It was the Bill of Rights," I answered.
"Do tell me Tomberlyn who wrote The Bill Of Rights?" she asked.
Ezra?
I scribbled on my notebook.
"Sorry coming up blank," he said. I wanted to scream in frustration, I really wanted ice cream today, not to spend my time in detention going over history.
BONG BONG BONG
"Saved by the bell," Ezra said, as I rushed out of the classroom.
"Don't you have some photographic brain or something?" I asked, getting a few odd looks from the students nearby.
"Nope," Ezra said cheerfully.
"It is so good to have you back," I said with a smile lighting up my face.
