Chapter Four

The Knight woke up with a start. He was about to scold y/n for playing such a stupid prank but he soon realized that it wasn't her but an angry Prince next to him.

His eyes widened in fear when he took the whole situation in. Jimin's eyes grew darker as he spoke in a very low and deep voice, which Taehyung found intimidating, "Where is she?"

Taehyung shook his head rapidly as he quickly stood up, destroying the pillow fort in the process. "I apologize your Highness, but I don't know where she is."

Jimin also stood up and sent him a powerful glare. "If I found out that she escaped," he dragged a finger across his jawline, "your head will be my newest bowl, do you get that?"

Taehyung visibly gulped as he stared into the prince's cold eyes. He nodded vigorously and marched out of the room.

Jimin found himself rushing to the bathroom door, and pressing his ear to it. The sound of rushing water could not be heard, so he took the risk of opening the door, but it was as if she had never been there in the first place.

Where could that girl have gone? Even if she had escaped, she couldn't have gotten that far, right?

He rushed out the door, and stopped a passing guard by grabbing him by the collar. "Where were you?!." He barked.

"I- I was p-patrolling, your highness." The guard stuttered out.

"So you didn't see her escape?" His voice lowered a few octaves, instilling fear in the cowering guard as he frantically shook his head, making Jimin fling him away.

"You!" He called to another passing guard, who immediately rushed to the infuriated prince and bowed. "Did you see her leave her room?" He pointed to the door behind him.

"No sir." The guard said, eyes glued to the ground beneath him.

"My guest had escaped and none of you had a clue about it!" The prince glared at the two guards, face red from anger. "Send out an order to the rest of you. Find her and bring her to me. Turn the palace upside down if you have to! I want her to be brought to me. Now!" The guards stuttered a 'yes your majesty' and rushed to do what the prince had asked of them.

You will be brought back to me.

Y/n's face was flushed from laughing, and so was Namjoon's as he told her stories of his childhood.

"Wait," The rosy cheeked girl laughed. "So you're telling me, that you once let out all of your father's donkeys, just because you had a dream that donkeys overthrew the kingdom?"

"I wanted to be on their good side." The man defended amongst his own chuckles and guffaws. "It probably wasn't the brightest idea though. I got the spanking of a lifetime that day." He rubbed his neck shyly.

Y/n couldn't help more giggles leaving her lips. She had completely lost track of the time, but she didn't care. She had made a new friend and she had actually forgotten where she was.

"So why were you awake at this time?" You finally asked the question that had been bugging you since you saw him in the kitchen.

The man that was seated beside her on the kitchen island, eating his own meal, looked up at her with a small smile. "Same as you. I was reading earlier then got hungry."

"Why were you reading at such a time?" Y/n took another mouthful of food.

"I like to read." He said with a small smile. "It takes me to a whole new world, filled with dragons, and witches and other mythic creatures." He talked passionately, which the girl couldn't help but smile to.

"If you like, I could give you the book." He offered her with a dimpled smile.

"Really?" She asked.

"Yeah. I mean, if you're going to stay here, might as well entertain yourself right?"

She gave him a genuine smile. "I would love that."

They continued to eat in silence, before the door of the kitchen swung open, startling them both.

Taehyung stormed in with frantic eyes, but noticeably calmed down when he met eyes with the eating girl. He heaved a sigh of relief, then rushed to pull her into a tight hug.

"Y/n where were you?"

"Here." She answered confused.

"I mean, when did you get here? Why did you come here?"

"I came here because I was hungry." She answered honestly as he pulled away to look into her eyes.

"I was so worried." He hugged her again, making the girl throw a glance to Namjoon, who could only shrug and carry on eating.

Taehyung pulled away once more, "Y/n, Jimin is looking for you. He thought you had escaped."

"What? Why?!" The said girl furrowed her brows.

"Because you weren't in your room."

Jimin had come to my room? Y/n widened her eyes. That means he had seen Taehyung.

"Were you still there?" The girl croaked out, scared of the answer she would receive. The brown haired boy only pursed his lips and nodded.

She could only blink as the boy pulled her into another hug. "I'm so sorry, Y/n."

"Why are you apologizing?" Y/n asked, wrapping her arms around her friend.

"What if he decides to punish you, because he got the wrong idea about us?" He panicked and she only squeezed him tighter, the man beside her not seeming to be bothered.

"It's okay, TaeTae." She reassured.

He pulled away and used his hand to cup her cheek, which the girl did not hesitate to hold in hers. "No, it's not. I'll explain everything, okay?"

"Well, isn't this convenient?"
