Xu Liuchuan nodded, his voice bland. “Okay…”

Lu Jinnan took Bai Xiaonian’s bag from her and tugged at her arm, pulling her out from the hotpot restaurant and entering the elevator.

“I haven’t settled the bill!” Bai Xiaonian said with a frown, wanting to get out of the elevator.

Lu Jinnan yanked Bai Xiaonian back to his side, holding the bag as he pressed the elevator button to go down. He said, “The waiter won’t take his money!”

“You’ve settled the bill?” Bai Xiaonian asked.

Lu Jinnan turned sideways and said to Bai Xiaonian, “I own this hotpot restaurant!”

Bai Xiaonian paused in surprise, then pursed her lips.

“I opened this hotpot restaurant for you…”

In the quiet elevator, Bai Xiaonian heard Lu Jinnan speak softly.

She didn’t say anything as she was pulled out of the elevator by Lu Jinnan and then stuffed into the front passenger seat.

“I drove here myself!” Bai Xiaonian said, frowning.

Lu Jinnan didn’t utter a sound. He simply started driving.

“I’ve said to take a break for a day… before we go at it again! Until you get pregnant!” Lu Jinnan lowered his voice in a bid to restrain the rage in his voice.

“Are you tired of living? Aphrodisiac cigarette… drugs! What else do you want this time?” Bai Xiaonian gripped the seat, her heart quivering at the thought of how fearlessly Lu Jinnan was going at it, even disregarding his life.
