"I-I'm not-all of a sudden?" I stutter.
"I just-I thought you wanted this-" Blake asks.
"I do." I say quickly. "I really do, it's just, I wasn't expecting that today."
"I know. I probably should have talked to you-"
"No, no, it's okay."
"So...yes or no?"
I smile, and nod. "Yes." I say. "I'll move in with you."
"Yes!"
He leans closer to me and we kiss.
****
I draw circles onto Blake's chest. He sighs in his sleep, pulling me closer to him. We are currently in bed. I don't think I have to tell you why... Anyways, moving on.
"I love you, Lia." he mumbles in his sleep.
I freeze. We've never said that to each other. A few moments later, I look up at him, sleeping peacefully.
"I love you too."
****
I wake up to find Blake's arm wrapped around me protectively. I stare at him, sleeping peacefully, and sigh lightly.
"Take a picture, it'll last longer." he says.
I jump, scared out of my mind.
"You scared me!" I exclaim.
"Hmm." he groans, pulling me closer to him.
After a few minutes of just lying like that, I remember that we have a shift starting at 9.
"Babe." I say.
"Hmm?"
"We have a shift at 9." I remind him.
"Ughh."
"I have to go home before Dad has cops breaking down the door."
"Mmmm." he says, snuggling his face into the nook of my neck.
I close my eyes and sigh at the tingling feeling. Painfully pulling myself away from him, I take his hands off me. Giving him a quick peck on the lips, I get up and walk into the bathroom.
****
I walk into the house using my key.
"Hey." Dad says when I walk in.
"Hey." I greet him.
"Stayed over at Blake's?" he asks.
"Uh, yeah, we-uh-we were having-" I look up at him, "we were having a movie marathon and eating popcorn, and we just fell asleep." I finish quickly.
"You were having a movie marathon." Dad says, raising his eyebrows.
I nod. "Yeah."
"Hmm, okay."
It's silent now.
"He asked me to move in." I say, looking down.
"Oh. Well, what did you say?"
"Yes." I whisper. I'm reminded of when I was a kid, and I was scared Dad would yell at me for something.
"That's great Lia!" Dad exclaims.
I look up at him, a bit surprised.
"Really?" I ask.
"Yeah! TK moved in with Carlos at your age. They got married about ten months later."
