Devil in my head
Angels on my shoulders
Dragons in my chest, and
Butterflies in my stomach
The sky glistened
As I screamed with no remorse.
Chains pulled me down
Tugging heart first.
No light around
Yet I kept running.
Moonlight touched down on me
Singing toxic lullabies.
Where was I supposed to go
Monsters were everywhere.
My demons closed in
As my heart caved in.
I thought I'd finally see light
Yet I was met with nothing.
Drifting in darkness
Everything was soothing.
I could feel the warmth of my tears
Streaming down my face.
As the butterflies carried me
Far far away.
