Almost every love story starts out with a happy beginning, right? Well not this one. This one was different. She was different..special. He was also different, he wouldn't go as far as saying he's as special as she was and she'd love to argue that fact but that's a story for later. Our story first kicks off in the year Nineteen-Forty One; December Nineteen-Forty One to be exact.
Going day to day is a subconscious action of Lucas. Like a fish in a river with no thoughts, just going with the flow. Some would even say he doesn't attempt to make an effort. Lucas felt as thought he was trapped in some kind of silent movie; films that ceased to stop by the early Nineteen-Thirties, something nobody had to endure for a decade.
It didn't matter what Lucas did differently, nothing was a new experience anymore. At least that's what he thought up until one winters day. It began just as every other day had. Lucas watched the black oily canvas painted in a blanket of stars that stretched to infinity and danced around the pale crescent moon which shone like a silvery claw in the night sky.
After a long cold night, daybreak brought glimmers of warmth. The golden light softly caressed the land and ignited the birds into a chorus of melodies. In a moment Lucas was casted in crimson, bathed in a rosy glow. Lucas moved his fingers through the air that grew brighter with each passing moment until it became a new bold day. In the frosty winter air, as Lucas watched his breath rise skyward, he felt the promise of change in the wind that caressed every part of him.
