‘Prince Charles, you’re here,’ Monique shouted as she saw us. Monique is my regular suit tailor.
‘Hi Monique, how are you?’ I asked politely as the glass door shut behind us and Monique instantly began leading us to her studio. I could see Jesse looking around the building nervously as I gave his hand a tight squeeze.
‘I’m brilliant, thanks Prince. How about you?’ Monique asked as she held the door open for us.
‘I’m good thank you,’ I responded as I turned towards Jesse. ‘Jesse meet Monique. Monique this is Jesse,’ I introduced. I’ve never been good at introducing people.
‘So you’re the Prince’s boyfriend, you’re one lucky guy Jesse,’ Monique laughed as she smiled at Jesse.
‘You got that right I am,’ Jesse answered. Aww, so cute!
‘Anyway, let’s get to work,’ Monique decided. ‘I have the main suit done it’s just I have to add whichever detail you need. Jesse, yours is the plain black one. Charles yours is the one with the little bits of gold detail,’ Monique told Jesse and I. I nodded as I took my suit the walked into the changing room. I waited a little until Jesse entered with his suit before I shut the door.
‘We’ll be out in a minute,’ I called to Monique as I began pulling off my jumper.
‘Make sure you two don’t start making out or something, I do have work to do,’ Monique teased. I could tell she was smiling to herself.
‘Whatever you say, Monique,’ I yelled back as I put the white shirt on over my plain white tee-shirt. Jesse was unbuttoning his plaid shirt whilst looking at the floor. ‘Hey, what’s up?’ I asked as I placed my hand on Jesse chin pushing his face up to look at me.
‘Nothing,’ Jesse answered quickly.
‘I’m not stupid you know, I can tell when you are lying,’ I announced. Jesse just shrugged his shoulders. ‘Tell me what’s up now,’ I demanded softly.
‘I don’t know, it’s just this whole wedding thing,’ Jesse told me. ‘I’m not use to this, getting ready, having suits made for me.’
‘Is it me or is Jesse Taylor actually scared?’ I asked in a teasing voice. Jesse hit my stomach lightly.
‘I am not scared, that’s your job,’ Jesse argued.
‘Whatever you say babe,’ I laughed. ‘Anyway there is nothing to be afraid of...’
‘I’m not afraid,’ Jesse snapped.
‘Fine then, either way. There isn’t anything to worry about,’ I tried to comfort Jesse who looked at me un-amused.
‘What if your island hates me?’ Jesse asked me, I let out a little chuckle.
‘That would be impossible. If I love you then I’m sure the island will love you too, if not then they’ll have to deal with it,’ I said as I tapped Jesse nose. ‘Anyway we need to get ready or Monique will go crazy.’ Jesse smiled at me as I kissed him lightly on the lips then continued to change into my suit trousers.
‘Jesse I will have to add a few bits of red detailing to your suit. Charles, you need shoulder padding and I need to find you some gold cufflinks,’ Monique announced as she rushed around Jesse putting pins into the suit he was wearing. ‘Your shoes will be arriving maybe tomorrow so I shell send them to the palace with your suits. Okay,’ Monique clapped her hands. ‘Go change.’ Jesse and I nodded obediently then rushed back to the changing room, Jesse a little quicker then me.
‘Thank God that’s done with,’ Jesse muttered as he instantly began changing into his casual clothes. I smirked at him.
‘You’re so grumpy,’ I laughed as I unbuttoned my blazer and hung it onto the coat hanger. Jesse looked at me with a straight face but soon smiled.
