K starts to narrates to Venu's family the incident which cause deep sorrow and pain to both of them...

The worst is that this incident happened on his Wedding Day with Mullai...

It was a beautiful Wednesday morning.. In a grand entrance of a Mandapam there was a board in place with carved letters of:

P. Kathiravan Weds M.Mullai

It was the marriage occasion of the apple of the eye of both families.

Kathir was the eldest son to Pandian and Lakshmi. Whereas Mullai was the younger daughter of Murugan & Parvathy. Both KM loved each other since college days... They both confessed to their family of their love and wish to get married....

Pandian was very much happy with the marriage because he has other agenda in mind... He wants to deal business with Murugan since he owns his own mill and it is not doing well... It will be a advantage for Pandian to run his business... Although Lakshmi not very keen with the marriage as Mullai comes from a middle class family...But for her son's sake she did not mind...

For both Murugan & Parvathy they are happy that Mullai is getting a husband wo is going to take care of her life-long with full love and care...

However its not the same case with Mullai's elder brother Dhiru.... He hates Mullai for some reason which will be revealed in the later part of the chapter... He wanted to get his sister married to his friend for his own gain, so he feels Kathir had spoiled his entire plan...
