~•~(Julia's POV)~•~It's been a week. The huge riot had been published in the school paper as 'The Musical War' and now the band and choir are on decent terms again. It was a pretty fun week though. The band dumped all of their old sheet music on the floor of the choir room, and in return, the choir stole all of the band's chairs and hid them for two days. It was extremely funny for percussion, who wasn't affected by that at all. In the end, band and choir will always have a love-hate relationship.
Today is the percussion concert, and we've all been working hard on our ensemble. Mr. Smith has been very picky about the tiniest details, and Lisandro is patient with me. At times, it's hard, since the whole grade level basically ships us and I can feel the pressure for me to answer him growing every day. Mrs. Yate still keeps an eye on us, Karissa still gives Mr. Barney a hard time, Avery is still ratchet, and my percussion class is still awesome. However, I know that I have to give Lisandro an answer soon. No matter how patient he is, I know that he won't wait forever. But what will I choose? I know I like him, but...

My mom had dressed me up again, and as always, in record time. Were arrived at the performing arts center and the place was packed. Tonight, the intermediate percussion class, My school's three percussion classes, and all of the neighboring high school's percussion ensembles were going to play. I was super excited to see it all, and I had something else I had to do tonight... I spotted Lisandro with my percussion ensemble, and walked over to them. They all greeted me and I sat next to Abby and Camila. Lisandro sat at the other end of the row, next to Brian and Max, and I stared at him, still finalizing my decision. 'It can wait until after the concert, right? Yes. Yes it can.' I thought, nodded to myself as if I wasn't nervous. Camila touched my curled hair and spoke to Abby. "Isn't Julia really pretty today?" Abby nodded and Camila suddenly laughed before saying, "But she'd look prettier on Lisandro's drumstick. If you know what I mean." I started coughing at that statement, as Abby couldn't decide wether that was awkward or funny. "Camila. My family is literally right over there." I pointed to the group across the aisle. She shrugged. "Just saying." then the concert started, and I began to relax as I watched the adorable sixth graders, the skilled high schoolers, and then it was our turn to go on stage. As a snare soloist played passionately in front of the drawn curtain, we set up as quietly as possible. 'Good thing we don't need the wind chimes...'
As the audience applauded for the soloist, Lisandro looked over at me and smiled. Thinking back to my plan, I smiled back, and then the curtain opened. The performance went great, nobody dropped a drumstick or mallet, no one hit a wrong note, and I would have to say that it was our best run through of the piece. We finished, and the audience clapped away. We were the last band playing, and as the curtains closed, high school percussionists began clearing the instruments. I walked up to Lisandro, who was putting away his mallets on the middle of the stage, and smiled at him. "I finally decided." his adorable smile grew as I said,
"I will go out with you."
He suddenly wrapped his arms around me, and I did the same. Then, the curtains were pulled open by Sydney and Karissa, and the whole audience began cheering at the sight of us. I blushed madly, but he didn't let go yet. As we pulled apart, he took my hand in his. "I'm glad." and we walked off stage together.
