~•~(Lisandro's POV)~•~
I woke up on a plush couch with a huge headache. 'What the heck happened? And where am I?' Suddenly I heard some voices from the kitchen. Pulling myself up and holding my head in pain, I made my way towards them. As I walked in, I was greeted by Avery and Karissa, who handed me an aspirin. "Ah, Sleeping Beauty has finally awoken." Avery snickered. "Yeah, all it took was a kiss." I choked on the medicine. "Wait what?! You freaking kissed me?!" Avery rolled her eyes. "Ew, no. It was Julia~" My head still hurt but it started to ease up, and memories of last night started coming back. "So... Julia kissed me?" Karissa sighed and smiled. "Nope. You my friend, kissed her." Just then I remembered. 'Seven minutes in heaven, with Julia, and I-'
"Oh SHIT. I was drunk!? Why would I be drunk?! I didn't even drink- oh wait..." The two girls tried to keep from smiling. "IT WAS YOU TWO WASN'T IT??!!" They burst out laughing as Lisandro sighed. "Guys... Not cool... That was my first kiss..."

Over the weekend, all I could think about was Lisandro. 'I can't believe I lost my first kiss to an asshole... And I can't believe he got drunk that easily...' I curled up into a ball on my bed. 'And it was also illegal. Who spiked the drinks anyway?' A mental list of people ran through my head. I narrowed it down to all of the 8th grade percussionists, and Avery. 'I'm pretty sure it was Avery, but the question is, was anyone else involved?' Soon, my eyelids began closing as I fell asleep. 'Why did they do it? Was it for more than just messing with the new girl?'

Monday unfortunately came. The whole weekend was spent by formulating apologies in my head. However, no matter how much I tried, I couldn't find any way for it to not be awkward. I pushed open the band hall door and walked to the percussion instruments, setting down my backpack in the corner and pulling out two pairs of mallets from my band locker. It was only 7:45 in the morning, and school didn't start until 8:45, but the band hall was typically open early for students to practice. 'So Julia...' I began rehearsing in my head as I started playing a complicated four-mallet solo on the marimba. 'I know this is gonna be awkward as hell, but I just want you to know that I was drunk, and didn't really know what I was doing... Man I can't believe I can't hold my liquor...' As I reached the middle of the solo, memories of the after party started streaming through my mind like a movie. Every torturous detail of being in the closet with Julia: trapping her petite frame against the wall, her nervousness as she realized I was intoxicated, the lack of oxygen as I kissed her, and the satisfaction afterwards. 'Satisfaction?' I felt my face heat up in embarrassment. Suddenly Mrs. Henderson poked her head out of the office. "Lisandro, we have a metronome, so please, play something besides quarter notes." As she began closing the door again, I barely heard her mutter, "Typical weird percussionists..." I didn't even realize I wasn't playing the solo... "What's going on..." I sighed. Suddenly, I heard someone yell, "You're falling in love!!!" Then I heard a huge crash from the storage room, and saw the crash cymbals roll out of the room. Cautiously walking over, I saw Karissa pinned under the crash cymbal stand. "Well, so much for stealth..." She laughed as she pushed the metal stand off and I helped her up. Mrs. Henderson looked out again. "You break it you buy it!" Karissa smiled guiltily at her and brushed off her shirt. "Karissa, what the heck?" I asked as I surveyed the room. It looked like she had been sitting in the corner with her backpack watching anime on her phone. She smirked and put her elbow on my shoulder, leaning on me. "Well my good sir, you are experiencing the first stages of young love~" she sighed, fantasizing about who knows what as she picked up the cymbals. I pulled the stand up as she placed them on. "Karissa. Calm down. It's not like that." Soon, more band members began streaming in, pulling out there instruments to practice. "That may be true, but you have to admit, she does things to you." The other percussionists began arriving too, but I didn't see Julia. "Why must you be so suggestive?" She shrugged at my question, getting her stuff together as Avery, Allie, and another girl named Chisom appeared in the doorway. "EIther way, good luck with that. I've got ANIME CLUB BITCHES!!" As she ran out with the others, I face palmed in defeat. "So what if I do kind of like Julia? It just shows that I get attached too easily, and it's impossible for her to feel the same. She seems so conservative, there's no way she'd develop feelings without serious thought..." Suddenly. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a familiar girl with shoulder length light brown hair. 'Julia...'

I nervously approached the band hall, the sounds of various instruments poured out as Karissa came running out with Avery, Allie, and another girl I saw Friday night. 'Chisom.' "ANIME CLUB FOR LYYYYFFFEE!" She yelled as the others began singing a theme song: "SIND SIE DAS ESSEN NEIN WIR SIND DIE JÄGER!!!" The group energetically took off down the hall towards the library. 'Ooookkaaay then.' Pushing open the door hesitantly, I prayed that a certain someone wouldn't be there. 'Please, please, please...' Gazing around the room, my fate was sealed. He stood behind a marimba, staring at me. 'Of course. What did I expect? He's a band addict.' He began walking in my direction, as I slowly backed away. 'Run and avoid certain death but live in fear, or face him now and die by spontaneous combustion?' Unfortunately, I took too long to decide, and he was suddenly in front of me. "I need to talk to you." He said, trying to seem calm, but he was fidgety, and his gaze shifted around a bit. I nodded at him cautiously, gesturing for him to continue. "Last Friday, someone spiked my drink, and I kind of.... Yeah... Long story short, I was drunk, and I really just wanted to say, I'm sorry." I nodded again, at a loss for words. 'I know he was drunk, but that doesn't change what happened.' "It's fine Lisandro. I understand." He stared at me intently as I began rambling on. "It wasn't a big deal, it wasn't your fault and I probably should have given more of an effort to stop you but what happened happened and we can't really change that and besides, it was actually kind of an enjoyable kiss-" I clapped a hand over my mouth as he looked at me in disbelief. I felt myself blushing like a weirdo, so I began walking off, but he reached out and grabbed my hand. "Wait, I'm... Not finished talking..." Turning around gingerly, I stared at him before blurting out again. "Yeah I know you have a girlfriend and I'm weird and we just met so it shouldn't have been nice but it was and I'm so sorry it was the hormones I swear I-" He cut me off with a hug. "What are you even talking about?" He began laughing a little. "I don't have a girlfriend."
'What.'
"B-But you and T-Tori...? Couple? Right?" I tried to calm my nerves but I failed miserably as he just laughed even more. "Really? You thought me and Tori were dating?" I nodded. "We're cousins."
'What.'
The bell rang, signaling class was going to start soon, and he smiled at me. "Well, looks like we better go." He grabbed his backpack and we began walking in opposite directions. Suddenly, he turned around and called out to me. "And Julia?"
"Y-Yes...?"
"I kind of enjoyed the kiss too."
And with that, He ran off, leaving me standing in the middle of the hall dazed. 'Lisandro... He makes the part of me that's beating take a beating...' I smiled and made my way to history, where Allie, Avery, and Karissa were talking about gory animes.
