~•~(Lisandro's POV)~•~

I can't believe Mrs. Yate did that yesterday. I mean I know it was wrong to pass notes or whatever but seriously? Did she really have to read my embarrassing confession out loud?! It was hard enough to write it thinking Julia would be the only one reading it but then she goes and reads it to the class and when it comes to new shippings, I can only imagine that social media is making sure everyone knows I confessed. 'If everyone finds out I'll never hear the end of it!' But before I deal with the student body, I have to talk to Julia.

As I entered the band hall, everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at me as I walked back to the percussion section. I kept my head high and didn't make eye contact. Suddenly, a huge crowd of choir kids rushed in, running right up to me, but before I could say anything, someone emerged from the crowd. Julia ran up, panting. "Lisandro, Veronica made an announcement to the whole choir about... You know..." She started blushing as the band students began joining the mass of people. 'This is getting out of hand.' I spotted Mr. Beachum, Mrs. Henderson, Mr. Smith, and the choir teacher, Mr. Hendel, in the corner spectating. 'What? They're not going to do anything?' the room was silent, until Mr. Smith called out, "Hey Lisandro. Just ask her out already!" the students all leaned in, watching. I took a deep breath and walked up to Julia. "So, Julia, I know it's weird, I know it's sudden, but,

Will go out with me?"

The tension in the air was thick, and Julia was blushing.

"I... I need some time to think about it..."

I nodded at her reassuringly. Suddenly the crowd sighed in exasperation. "oh come on!" a choir boy said. A tuba player walked up to him. "Now if you guys would leave, since you don't belong here." soon, band and choir students began riling up against each other. "We'll stay in here if we want too. Our director is here, and you didn't say anything before!"

"Yeah, well now that you don't have anymore business here, you should go back to your own hall!"

The directors tried to stop the madness, but the animosity between the two groups was strong. This was the result of three years of contests and bets. "Well, our choir is voted the best in the district!" "Well our band had the most participants in all-region!" I quickly grabbed Julia's hand and led her around the crowd and to the stage. We sat on the hard floor, listening to the distant riot. Soon, it died down, as the directors regained control and split the two factions up. Julia sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "This school is absolutely crazy. And I'm sorry I couldn't give you an answer. I just... Don't want to rush into things, when I'm not even sure where I stand." I nodded. "I understand. It was really sudden." I stood up and started walking away, but then turned back to her. "And Julia? I don't mind waiting a while." she smiled at me, and I left.

A/N: Yes it's short. I'm sorry reader-chan! But filler chapter is not very fulfilling.
