I wake up early, at 4 or 5
And hop in my car, ready to driveI go to first class and learn how hammers are used
And do my presentation on various toolsThe framers scoff, asphalt! That trade is useless!
Just learn to frame houses, you guys are cluelessThe heavy civil guy laughs, knowing he'll one day be rich
He has an internship in building bridges, and he builds them quickThe commercial student stays prideful and quiet
Building hospitals is cool, but it's best to stay silentThe teacher just shrugs, understanding their pride
He once was like them, but retired. He now teaches at fifty five.
