"I can't believe you actually agreed to go out with him." Leia had pulled a chair up to sit on while Greyson got ready. "I was beginning to worry there was no hope for you two."

"I shouldn't have said yes, I'll probably regret it." Greyson replied pessimistically.

"He really is doing better, Grey. I wouldn't let you go if I wasn't sure he was." Leia said quietly, giving her friend's arm a gentle squeeze. "But I don't think he would be if you hadn't left. You leaving was what seemingly shocked him back to reality."

Greyson shrugged. "I hope you're right. I want this work out, I really do. I miss him so much more than you know."

"If it's meant to be, it'll work out." Leia assured her.

"I just don't want this to be a right person, wrong time situation."

"There's no such thing as right person, wrong time. If he's the right person, timing will work itself out."

And with that Leia left the room, leaving Greyson alone to ponder what she has been told. Leia was probably right, she usually was, and if Luke was the right person, everything would work out for them. She'd put aside any bitterness she had left and make tonight a good night. Maybe it'd be like the nights they used to share before every went downhill.

Greyson wasn't alone for long.

"I heard you have a date. With my son."

"Unfortunately." Greyson said jokingly. "Are you ever gonna leave me alone?"

"Never." Anakin smiled. "How are you gonna your kids how you met, was it love at first sight?"

Greyson rolled her eyes at Anakin's teasing. "Definitely not. I thought Luke was the most annoying, insufferable person on the planet for a whole two hours. Then I thought 'hey, this kid's kinda cute.' And then it all went downhill from there." Greyson said with a small smile.

"You want to hate him, don't you? But you just can't bring yourself to, don't you?"

"When did you become a poet?"

       "Since dying."

Greyson snorted. "Alright wise guy, what do you want?"

"I just wanted to say I'm proud of you. Not holding grudges and stuff. I wish more people told you that."

"I wish my father would've told you that when he had the chance."

"Stop that. You'll make yourself sad." Anakin pointed a finger at Greyson.

"Okay," Greyson paused. "Thank you. It means a lot, especially coming from you."

"I always knew you'd make me proud. But take care of my son, and I'll make sure he takes care of you. I wont allow him to do something dumb like I did." Anakin smiled sadly.

"Do as you say, not as you do? I don't think that'll be a big issue." Greyson teased.

"Alright kid, whatever you say. Take care of yourself, Grey."

"Don't be a stranger, Ani." Greyson was alone again.

Luke was rambling on with a story about some trouble he and Han had made, while Greyson periodically took a sip from her drink. Truthfully, she had stopped listened shortly after Luke began, it wasn't a particularly interesting story, and just watched him and his mannerisms. The way he got loud when he was excited about something, the way his hands flew about as he explained something, or how he'd start telling one part of the story and then remember something from early or when he jumped ahead of himself. It was cute.

"Are you even listening to me?" Luke asked laughing.

"Yeah," Greyson said like it was a dumb question to ask. "For the first two minutes I was." She then admitted smiling.

"So you've just been making intense eye contact the entire time?"

"Yeah, I was just watching you."

"What?" Luke's cheeks had turned red and he scratched the back of his head, some he did when he was either nervous or embarrassed.

"This is the only time you'll hear me admit this, but, I was wrong." Greyson smiled. "You haven't changed a bit."

Luke's face dropped, unsure of what she meant. "Sure I have! I've changed a lot-"

Greyson laced his fingers through Luke's. "Not like that!" She laughed a little. "You hadn't changed, you're still you. Easily excited, rambling, optimistic. All of it. Even whiny." Luke pouted at this and Greyson laughed again. "Exactly! My point is, I was wrong, you were just struggling, and I should've stayed by your side."

"No, you shouldn't have." Luke said immediately. "You had every right to leave me. And I'm glad you did because if you hadn't, I probably never would've gotten help, and things would just gotten worse and worse. You left for your safety and I'm glad you did, because if I lost control around you I don't know what would've happened and I don't want to find out." Luke took a deep breath as he finished. "Wow that was a lot to say in one breath."

Greyson smiled sadly, rubbing her thumb across the back of Luke's hand. "Okay, I just wish things would've worked out differently."

"You know, a wise women once told me, it's no use to dwell on the past, especially when you can't change it. Let's just focus on the present and the future. Our future." Luke brought Greyson's hand to his lips.

"We'll fix this, right?"

"Of course we will it's us!"

Both of them laughed loudly, turning a fee nearby heads.

"I really want this to work out, it's been hell not having you here. I've missed you so bad. But if we want this to work, you have to communicate with me, love. You can't try to deal with everything internally cause it doesn't work. Trust me, I tried to do that when my dad passed and it made everything worse, and I wish I talked to literally anyone. Promise me you're gonna try." Greyson tightened her grip on Luke's hand as she spoke.

"I know, and I will. I won't let you down anymore. I'm never fucking up like that again. It's the biggest regret I have." Luke promised.

"I love you."

"Not as much as I love you."
