"You're form is sloppy, Skywalker." Greyson huffed as she dulled the green blade of her lightsaber. She had agreed to help Luke with lightsaber combat, but she had no idea how damn hard it would be. Luke needed very specific instructions, and Greyson was more than happy to adapt to what he needed, but he also didn't listen to her. Not to mention his habit of throwing his lightsaber. It flew out of his grip all the time. "You're not trying hard enough, Luke." Luke rolled his eyes. Leia knocked on the open door and walked in. "Ah finally, my girlfriend is here." Leia's nose scrunched as Greyson made a kissy face.
"What? No, don't touch me, I just came here to give you this." Leia said handing Greyson a package. "It doesn't have anything on it other than your name."
Greyson furrowed her eyebrows as she sat down on a crate and opened the package. Her jaw dropped when she saw what was inside.
"What is it?" Luke asked. Leia nodded, wanting to know what was inside but also not wanting to intrude in Greyson's personal business.
Greyson pulled out a piece of fabric and unfolded it. It was a brown robe. She knew exactly what it was. Luke looked at Leia, confused. Leia just shrugged. Greyson pulled out the second object. She ignited the lightsaber and watched the sapphire blade appear. "It's my dad's stuff. It's his robe and his lightsaber. Somebody sent me his things." She said numbly.
"Who? We had to leave it on the Death Star, how did it not get blown up?" Luke asked. Leia hit him on the arm and muttered something about being insensitive, but Greyson wasn't really worried about that.
"Someone who survived. Whoever it is they know me, but I don't know them." Greyson lied straight through her teeth. She knew exactly who had sent this. "A stormtrooper." She added. She knew which and she was gonna have his head on a stick. He was putting her life and her friends' lives in danger by sending it. If anyone else found out... Greyson chose not to think about it. "It doesn't matter." She stood up and clipped her father's saber to her hip, opposite of her father's master's saber. "I'll be in my room if you need me." She said as she left the two teens alone.
Greyson was struggling to put thread through the hole at the top of the needle when a knocked on the door alarmed her, and she stabbed herself in the finger. "Ow! What do you want?" She asked angrily.
"Sorry, Grey. Didn't mean to scare you." Han said as he walked into the room. Greyson softened and turned around.
"It's alright." She said as she successfully put the thread through. She let out a small noise of triumph and Han smiled.
"What are you doing?" He asked sitting down on the edge of Greyson's bed. Greyson picked up Obi-Wan's old robe.
"Hemming this so I can wear it." She replied. "Help me out some, will ya?" Han stood up and walked over to Greyson as she put on the robe. She handed Han some pins. "Pin these near my feet." Han sighed and knelt down.
"There."
"Thank you." Greyson slipped the rob off and sat at the edge of her bed. "Is there something you have to say or?" Han looked back at her.
"Oh yeah. I heard about the package and stuff. Do you think it's from him?" Han asked wearily.
"I know it's from him. Who else would send it?" She said not looking up from her task at hand.
"I thought you said he'd leave you alone now? I mean he's thought you were dead for so long." Han dropped his voice, just in case Luke or Leia came by.
"Well after going inside an imperial space station, and then helping blow it up, I'm not surprised he knows I'm alive. I'm more concerned with how he found me."
"Maybe he just made sure someone got it to the Falcon. It had your name on it, and he knows you're with me now." Han shrugged. Greyson looked up.
"I'm still putting you in danger. All of you. Maybe it would be best for me to leave," She started to say but Han shook his head.
"No. That would be more dangerous. You'd be too vulnerable, even with two lightsabers. Besides, you're not leaving me that easily."
"I just," Greyson shook her head. "I don't want to burden you any more than I already have. I've been a moving target on your back for years now-"
"Shut. Mouth? Shut it." Han said. "First, You have not 'burdened' me. I didn't kick you off my ship when you told me your whole story, did I? No. I willing brought you with me everywhere. We're a team now. You are stuck with me. We're family, whether you like it or not." Greyson stared at Han.
"You do have a heart." She teased. Han shoved her.
"This conversation never happened." The pilot joked. "You know I'll always be here for you." He said, serious once again.
"I know. Now get out so I can take a nap." Greyson shooed her best friend away. Han laughed and shut the door as he left. Greyson pulled the covers up and fell asleep.
When Greyson opened her eyes, she was on a ship. She slowly got up from the floor and looked around. She had no clue where she was, she had never seen this place before. She noticed a familiar head of blonde hair, dressed in all black, making his way down a hallway. Greyson started to follow him, but he never noticed her. The more she walked the farther away he seemed to be getting. She started running, but the boy only disappeared faster. She followed him until he was out of sight.
Greyson looked around, looking for the blonde everywhere but she couldn't find her. "Where are you?" She whispered to herself. Then she could hear him. He was screaming. He was screaming in pain, screaming out for his father, begging his father to help him. No matter which corner she turned, the screaming got louder but she could never find the source of it.
Then she woke up.
Greyson shot straight up in bed, heart beating out of her chest. She rubbed her face with her hand and took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. She went out into the main area, where Han, Luke, and Leia all sat accompanied by Chewbacca and the two droids.
"Wow, are you alright?" Luke asked noticed Greyson state. She didn't say anything for a moment.
"Oh, uh, yeah," Greyson faked a smile. "Weird dream. Han and Chewie got married and I was the officiator." Greyson mentally hit herself for coming up with such a dumb lie on the spot. Luke shrugged.
"Weird." He said. Greyson nodded. Chewie let out a roar of distaste and Han looked personally offended.
Greyson made note to keep her distance from Luke for a while.
