The Empire has nearly finished annexing the Bespin system and Cloud City mere weeks after the fateful events of Empire Strikes Back. Arin Jacinto and Kito Waylon are two maintenance workers assigned to a exhaust check while other crews are working to get the adjacent carbon freezing chamber and systems repaired. What they find is not only something they suspect The Empire might have been looking for, but is a rare and "famous" artifact that will make it's way across the Star Wars galaxy by many hands in an attempt to keep it from them. Once again, one throwaway line of dialogue is mixed with references from the films, games, and books of both canons, and is designed to tell a story enjoyable for those knowledgeable of the lore while still being accessible to those that have "never as much as held a lightsaber."
