Luke and Greyson sat on opposite sides of the bed, Greyson refusing to look at Luke, who would only look at her.

"Can we please talk?" He pleaded.

        "No."

"We need to talk about this."

       "No."

"You can't just shut me out."

"It seemed to work for you." Greyson retorted.

Luke sighed. "I started seeing a therapist like you told me to. You were right, as usual, it helps. I'm doing a lot better, actually!" He laughed a little. "I'm finally able to move on after everything that's happened and I finally feel like I'm my own person, not just Anakin Skywalker's son, imagine that!" Luke smiled.

Greyson finally turned around and faced Luke, who was sitting on the bed, knees pulled up to his chest. "I'm glad. You are your own person. And you deserve to move on from all the things that've hurt you."

Luke looked over at his ex lover. "That means a lot. Especially coming from you."

       "I'm proud of you."

"I'm glad. I'm proud of myself."

The talk didn't help much. Going to bed was still awkward, both of them laying as far away from the other as they could. Luke tossed and turned for ages before it finally got on Greyson's nerve.

"Oh my force, come here!" She angrily whispered.

Luke looked over at her confused. Greyson opened her arms and beckoned for him. He wiggled his way over and Greyson wrapped his arms around him.

"Do not get use to this." She muttered, making it sound like she was miserable, despite playing with Luke's hair and rubbing her thumb against his cheek. Luke nuzzled his face into Greyson's chest. "I said don't get use to this."

"I'm not, I'm just taking advantage of this time." He mumbled.

Greyson rolled hey eyes but continued to run her nails gently on the top of Luke's head and caressing his cheek until his breathing evened out.

When Greyson woke up the next morning, Luke was no longer laying on her. She slipped out the door and into the kitchen where everyone was sat eating.

"We figured we'd let you sleep in." Leia said with a smile.

"Yeah, who knows how long it's been since you've slept that well." Han agreed.

Greyson shrugged as she sat down between Luke and the baby.

"What've you been doing these past months? I mean, you have to be doing something to support yourself. Or do you have a little side thing?" Han asked suggestively.

Greyson snorted. "Definitely no side thing. Ive been doing what I do best."

       "Smuggling."

"Exactly. It's still good work." Greyson shrugged taking a sip of much needed caffeine.

       "It's still dangerous." Luke muttered.

"Why do you care?" Greyson turned to face him.

       "Who said I did?"

"Anyways," Leia said in a warning tone, more towards her brother, "Han is insisting on taking me out tonight. I was hoping you two would stop acting like children long enough to watch one."

Greyson turned to Ben and in a baby voice saying, "We can do that, can't we? Yes we can!" She wiggled the baby's arms as he babbled. Luke watched, a small smile etched on his face. Greyson caught sight of this. "Hell are you smiling at?"

Trying to take care of your best friends baby was not easy. It was especially not easy when you're doing it with your ex. Luke and Greyson learned this quickly.

"Can you hand me the bottle?"

"You're closer to it."

"Well, I have Ben in my hands so, I can't pick it up."

"Sounds like a personal problem."

"Please?"

"Use the Force."

"For fuck's sake Greyson just hand me the damn bottle!"

Obviously, Greyson bitterly was the cause of all the arguments. She currently lived to upset Luke. She tossed the bottle over at him, not caring where it landed.

"What is your issue? You've been acting like a bitch all day and I'm sick of it." Luke asked angrily but Greyson couldn't take him seriously with Ben on his hip, trying to grab at his hair.

"I don't have a problem." Greyson replied.

"That's a load of shit." Luke muttered, hiking Ben further up his hip.

"I'm sorry, I can't take you seriously with a baby on your hip."

"When did you get so immature? While the rest of us decided to grow up, you figured 'hey, i'll go backwards, do the opposite!' was that it?" Luke asked, anger evident in his tone. "You know what, it doesn't matter. I'm going to put Ben down for his nap. Maybe later we can have a civilized conversation." And with that, Luke turned and walked off to put the baby to sleep, while Greyson's cheeks burned red with embarrassment.

"Are you ready to have that civilized conversation?" Greyson asked from the doorway. Luke's was sat on the, now broken, couch, his face only lit by the passing speeders' light. He looked up and smiled.

"I think I should be the one asking that question." Luke said, more in a playful manner than anything. "Come on."

Greyson sat down next to Luke pulling her knees to her chest. "Maybe you should start." She suggested quietly.

"Alright," Luke agreed. "Why did you leave?"

"I didn't."

Luke resisted scoffing, not wanting to start another fight. "I woke up one morning, all your stuff was gone, no note. You left."

"You pushed me away."

Luke didn't reply for a minute. "What exactly did I do?" Greyson looked at him like he had lost his mind. "What made you want to not be with me anymore? I don't wanna fuck up like that again."

"You stopped communicating with me, I felt like you didn't trust me, or want me around anymore. And," Greyson hesitated. "I didn't feel safe anymore. When you said what you said that night.. I couldn't be sure you were still, well, you. And that scared me Luke."

"I cannot explain to you, how sorry I am. I want you to know, I would never hurt you. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I did. And the last thing I want, is for you to feel unsafe around me." Luke gently took Greyson's hand into his own.

"I know. And I know you'd never hurt me on purpose. But I also know that when you're upset, you tend to lose control. I just didn't want to get caught in the middle."

"I'm doing a lot better, I can control myself now, I've told you-"

"I know, Luke, I know. And I believe you." Greyson placed her hand on Luke's face, and he leaned into her touch.

"Let me prove it to you! Let me take you out, just one date, that's all I'm asking. We can start over. Just let me make things right, please." Luke pleaded.

It didn't take much for Greyson to give in. "Alright. One date, then we'll see how it goes from there."

"Thank you."

"It'd be smart of me to walk away, but you're like quicksand."
