"I don't need a degree Mum..." Yeonhee spoke, still lingering by the door as she noticed the disappointment flooding her Mother. "A degree doesn't determine if I'm successful or not."

The lack of reply from her Mother had the girl on edge, shifting from foot to foot slightly before taking a few lingering steps inside.
"I'm happy with my brand you know? I've worked hard for it. It isn't a waste of time, you were wrong, it's one of the best risks I've taken."

"And you won't regret it?" She questioned, voice lacking anger when she glanced up towards her daughter. Yeonhee shook her head and watched as the Woman simply turned around to gather her papers up.

"No need to pay us back...Jaewon said the food is here." Her Mum spoke, walking past her and leaving the room and Yeonhee was stood there stunned unsure of what it really meant. Her mum didn't fight back or argue with her.
