it was a rainy november evening and minho was at work, in front of his computer, trying to focus on his task so as to finish it quickly and be able to go back home.
he worked as an employee in a marketing company and he absolutely needed to finish some work that day, which was why he hadn't gone home yet, even if it was pretty late.
he missed his jisung so much, he just wanted to see him as soon as possible. he missed his cute giggles, babbling, smiles, he missed seeing him crawl around the house and play with his toys, he missed seeing his attempts to stand up and walk, which usually ended up with him falling on his butt.
but first, he had to finish that damn project.
he rubbed his tired, itchy eyes and drank some water to refresh himself. he was tired, very tired, and he was also pretty hungry, since he hadn't eaten anything since lunchtime. in those conditions, it was hard to focus on his task and it was even harder to find the necessary energy to complete it.
but he had to finish it, so that he would have been able to be with his baby again.
he slightly slapped his cheeks, as if he wanted to wake himself up from that state of trance that was making him unproductive.
"i can do it" he whispered to himself, trying to motivate himself.
sooner or later, he was finally done. he quickly grabbed his things, wore his coat and ran out of the building, not even opening his umbrella to shelter himself from the rain.
once he had reached his car, he got in it and started to drive back to his house. due to the rainy weather, the road was wet and slippery, so he could not drive too fast, which annoyed him quite a lot.
eventually, around 10 p.m., he was finally home. he opened the door, only to find jisung playing with seungmin on the carpet of the living room.
a bright smile appeared on the elder's tired face: he was so glad to see his jisung, a happy jisung.
as soon as the latter noticed his daddy, he squealed happily through his white pacifier and made grabby hands towards him, so minho picked him up from the ground and kissed him all over his cute face, making the little giggle.
"hi sweetie! dada is so happy to see you!" he smiled at jisung, who was looking at him with an innocent, adorable face, too little to understand what his dada was saying.
in response, the little babbled cheerfully, his cute smile appearing behind his pacifier; afterwards, he grabbed a handful of minho's hair and began to play with it, making the two caregivers chuckle.
"hi seungmin-ah, sorry for ignoring you until now" minho said to his best friend.
"don't worry, hyung" the younger said with a slight laugh. "since it was so late and you weren't home yet, i made you some ramen for dinner" he added with a small smile.
"oh my god, thank you so much" minho thanked the latter. "how did sungie behave today?" he asked.
"he's been a bit whiny in the morning, but besides that he's been a good baby" seungmin explained. "he's always been in baby space, so he's wearing a diaper now" he added.
"yeah, i can feel it. his butt feels so soft and big" minho laughed, followed by his best friend.
"go eat your ramen, hyung. i'll stay with him till you're done"
"thank you for all the times you've looked after him, minnie"
"no need to thank me, hyung. i enjoy to take care of him because he's a sweet ball of fluff, and i know how busy you are, so it's not a problem to me"
minho gave seungmin a warm, grateful smile before putting jisung in the younger's arms, taking the opportunity to take his coat off. after that, he dragged himself to the table and began to eat his food.
while eating, he could hear jisung's joyful laughs and squeals, and he couldn't help but smile every time it happened. he could have listened to the little's cute babbling and giggles all day without getting tired of them.
once he was done with his dinner, he went back to the living room, telling seungmin that he could go home before going to his and jisung's bedroom to quickly change into some more comfortable clothes.
when he went back to the living room, he found the little sitting on the carpet, chewing on one of his chewable toys, a string of drool falling from his chin onto his bib.
the older couldn't help but find his fiance so cute and lovable; he couldn't resist to go and pick him up, wiping the little's face.
once jisung was all clean, minho sat himself down to the couch, laying his boyfriend on his lap and making him bounce; cute giggles echoed in the living room right away and minho couldn't help but smile, swallowed by a heartwarming and sincere love for his fiance.
he brought the little one closer to himself and started to kiss him all over his face, causing the younger to squeal even more.
"you're so adorable, my little squirrel" minho said softly, poking jisung's nose.
the little looked at him with his doe eyes, not really comprehending his daddy's words. he just leaned forward, resting his upper body on minho's chest and snuggling into the elder's arms.
the latter immediately hugged him and started to rub his back gently.
the little was fast asleep in his daddy's embrace; he looked so small and innocent, just like a baby.
"sleep well, my love" minho said before placing a soft kiss on the younger's head. "dada loves you so much".
