//Bakugo thinks back on Deku...//

When I was young, there was this one kid I called 'Deku'. He was a Quirkless nobody who stuck to me like gum on the bottom of my shoe. I hated that about him. I beat him down, time and time again, but when he was about 5 he disappeared. He didn't show up to school, his Mom had moved. I later heard that his Dad passed away, not that it's any of my business...

He seemed to think he was some sort of Hero, despite him not having the power to do anything. Defending all the weak kids on the street, like it was his duty or something. If I saw him today, I wonder if that shitty attitude of his would still remain...

U.A High

Izuku: I've arrived...

A couple weeks had passed since I returned home. As much as it hurts to say, I didn't have any friends, so all I'd been doing was watching TV. I got hooked on a couple series, and spent an unhealthy amount of time agonising over fictional characters.

Now, I stood in front of U.A. Only one of the most prestigious schools around. I was heading to the General Ed department, for the tour, and noticed that there were...way too many students. And then it hit me.

Izuku: Ah, the Entrance Exam for the Hero Department is today.

Some people strode by with an air of confidence, and others...not so much. Their attitudes were probably indicative of how strong their Quirks were. After all, this year, the U.A Entrance Exams consisted of you fighting robots. Unless your Quirk had the capacity for destruction, and you could show that in a short amount of time, you were probably screwed.

"Ah!", a voice cried. I turned my attention to the source of distress. A backpack slowly floated through the air, and there was a girl frantically jumping up and down to grab it. I approached her to see if she needed help.

Izuku: Are you okay with me grabbing your bag for you? Why did I word the question like that? Is that weird?

Uraraka: Urm...yes, please?

Her slight confusion convinced me I shouldn't be allowed to even attempt conversation. I bent my knees and jumped, grabbing the bag and then handing it to her.

Uraraka: Nice jump! I bet you're real athletic, huh?

Izuku: Oh, nothing like that really. I'm not into exercising.

Uraraka: Oh! Sorry if I offended you.

Izuku: No, no, it's fine.

Uraraka: Oh, okay then.

This was painfully awkward. How do I make it...not?

Izuku: Uh, I'm Izuku Midoriya. It's nice to meet you.

Uraraka: Ochako Uraraka, nice to meet you too!

Izuku: So, Uraraka, why exactly was your bag floating?
