When moon still brightly lit above the clear sky, Xu Liang felt his throat itch yet at the same time, he felt his body was too heavy like he's been wrapped with some heavy materials.

Wait—wrapped?

This thought made Xu Liang instantly opened his eyes like he was poured by a bucket of cold ice and the first thing he saw was a sturdy arm with a line of veins visible. In fact, his head was only below the pillow which makes that sturdy arm became his pillow instead and when his line of sight moved down, he saw the other arm wrapped on his waist.

"Anyone who's around?!" Xu Liang was alarmed and called out whoever's on the outside

The person embracing him woke up from his voice calling out for someone.
Seeing the other person moved, Xu Liang placed his hands around that person's neck planning to choke him when he suddenly heard the other talked.

"What are you doing? And why are you calling anyone in the middle of the night?" Huang Zhangwei knitted his brows as he questionably looked at Xu Liang straight on his eyes

"It's just you Zhangwei..."Xu Liang let out a sigh of relief when he heard Huang Zhangwei's voice and unconsciously blurt out Huang Zhangwei's name

Even if how inaudible would it sounded from others, Huang Zhangwei would still be able to hear it and hearing him calling out his name made Huang Zhangwei's lips curled upwards.

"It's been a long time since I've heard you say my name"

"Ah?" Xu Liang was caught of guard from what Huang Zhangwei had just said

Xu Liang blinked for a few times before realizing what he just unconsciously blurt out.

"Y-you, I mean, wang ye why are you in the inner chamber and when did you come back?" Xu Liang threw two question in a rows defensively to shove off his embarrassment

Huang Zhangwei was having fun observing Xu Liang's expression changing from one to another which he rarely witness during the day.

"I asked first, why are you answering me with another question?" Huang Zhangwei teasingly said

"I- I thought someone sneak on the inner chamber and tried to kill me—and you, you! Why did you suddenly entered the inner chamber with me sleeping?!" Xu Liang answered Huang Zhangwei's question, he realized later on that he was not the one in the wrong so why would he feel guilty?

"Hmm? Why not? This Xin Yue Palace belongs to this General, including this inner chamber and the whole east courtyard. With my wang fei living in this courtyard and sleeping on this inner chamber, why must I need to get your permission to sleep here? Shouldn't it be natural for me to sleep here? And, shouldn't husband and wife sleep on the same bed?" Huang Zhangwei answered Xu Liang's questions reasonably as he place his hand on his head to rest on while looking at Xu Liang in a calm manner yet every sentence he spoke, Huang Zhangwei saw Xu Liang changed his expression like he wants to fight back but at the same time he can't

Xu Liang fell silent for a few moments thinking of how to retaliate from everything Huang Zhangwei had said until Huang Zhangwei couldn't take it any longer and laughed
