Keeping A GIANT Secret (DNF)

Ch 3 - Discovery

George woke up to see Tina waiting as his father whispered something to her and both headed out for his work

George left his plush on his bed and noticed his mother went outside. She looked around as she sniffed and wiped some tears and heard George behind

Jasmine: Hey, baby!

George: Can I go to the forest?

Jasmine: I'm sorry, but you can't. You're too young and you were almost killed yesterday

George ran towards the gate and rushed as his mother called him. He ran as fast as possible and found a tall tree

It's still near his home, but at least this tree will help him know where home is and he can still see the lake

He heard a whimpering noise. He walked forward and found a hidden cave. He could hear the whimpering of a child as it echoed the cave walls

George walked forward as he shivered. It was cold, yet he can feel warmth inside. He walked as he noticed it was getting darker as he walked closer

He hit something soft and heard movement. George ran back out as he noticed the whimpering noise stopped. Instead, he heard sniffs and a small gasp

George was outside of the cave and noticed a shadow in the cave. It was massive! He wanted to know what it was, and he gasped to see who it was

It was a giant being. Like his mother described, he looked like a human, but bigger. He looked down at the tiny brunette as he whimpered and backed away into the cave

"P-P-Please don't h-h-hurt m-me!" the giant child whimpered. George was surprised as he saw this funny. It's the human who's supposed to be afraid of this giant, not the other way around

George looked at him as he noticed his looks. Dirty blonde hair, he wears a lime green hood, green VANS shoes, black jeans, and has soft freckles dotted on his face. He's also wearing black fingerless gloves

He whimpered as George got closer. The brunette smiled, "My mom told me giants weren't real! YOU'RE REAL!"

To the giant child's surprise, this human was excited to see him. He shifted closer as George walked back out, waiting for the blonde to head out

Once he was out, he noticed the brunette was giggling. The blonde smiled as he spoke, "I'm Clay!"

George: Hi, Clay! I'm George!

Clay: Hi!

George: How did you get here?

Clay: A weird swirl void took me here! I want my mommy!

George: I can take you to mine!

Clay: NO! Dad said I can't be seen by your kind!

George: Oh

Clay: I stayed here hoping he comes to get me, but I don't know how the swirl voids work

George: You can stay here hidden!

Clay: Sure, but I want to go home!

George: Want to be friends?

Clay: Yeah!

George: How old are you?

Clay: I'm 6

George: I'm 5

Clay: Wow! So, friends?

George: Yes!

Clay bent down as he felt the human pet his nose. He giggled and nuzzled his small body as George laughed and patted his nose

Clay wanted to grab the human as his eyes widened. Clay remembered his father's rule and instantly let go of the brunette

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" he cried as he scrunched into a ball and whimpered. George tilted his head to one side and noticed Clay was crying just because he picked up George in a fist

He shushed the giant as Clay whimpered and looked at George. He felt George's tiny hand soothing him as he stroke his nose and shushed him

"GEORGE!" both jumped at the voice of a female. "I'll see you tomorrow!" George chirped as he ran back home, looking back to see Clay heading back towards the cave and showed a sad face

Once home, his mother scolded him for running away. "Where were you?" she asked as George had to think of something other than saying he met a giant

"I was playing by the lake," he mumbled as his mother sighed and took him into his room. He sat on his bed as his mother went into the living room and let his father and daughter in

He smiled. He made a new friend, and the best part, he is a giant. He giggled as he hoped to help him hide in the forest, and hopefully, he doesn't do anything stupid

Though he seemed to figure out he has been alone for how long? He hopes to help him in any way and can't wait to start his adventure again
