Prologue

I didn't know how this day would turn out- rain was falling outside and thunder was rumbling in the heavens. Gabriel Landeskog, the guy who knew nothing about what he wanted his future to be. These days I just wanted to be the best NHL player that I could be.
My father, a Swedish native like me, was always talking about hockey and meeting my mother. I thought that my life would never be like his, but it turned out that way. I was drafted in the 1st round and 2nd overall in the 2011-12 NHL entry draft.
