Jimin was waiting in the doorway to the kitchen, head perking up with a small smile as he heard us coming. There was a soft glint in his eyes as he intertwined his fingers with SeokJin's and entered the kitchen, the chatter inside fizzling out before I stepped inside. Six pairs of eyes were focused on me as I made my way to the bar stool around the kitchen island, with a hefty thump I plonked onto the chair right next to a doe eyed boy that shuffled away.

" Hello!" The taller hybrid waved, moving to stand in front of me, tripping over the chair in the process. " I'm Namjoon."

I chuckled softly and the younger hybrid blushed hiding his face in embarrassment. " You're the infamous Namjoon that Seokjin has spoken so highly of."

Namjoon's eyes widened turning to look at Seokjin who looked equally embarrassed. It was adorable as both of them analysed each other, a warm smiled on each others faces. It just went to show how close these hybrids were, how they loved each other in such an unfamiliar way. My mind instantly went to Yoongi and his gummy smile and my smile fell, eyebrows crossed in concentration.

I chuckled slightly, trying to distract myself from the darkening thoughts. The two boys directed their attention back to me and I offered Namjoon my hand, in which he took hesitantly. " I uh, would like to thank you for looking after Jin."

" It's been my pleasure, but I'm pretty sure it's been him looking after me." I tried to lighten the mood with a small joke, that did seem to brighten the room just a tad, but it was still stiff. " Can I ask, how Seokjin got injured?"

I could clearly feel the suffocation in the air as I asked, as the six hybrids shared a look. Seokjin coughed, earning my full attention. " It was a hybrid, we walked into the wrong territory and I used myself as a distraction so the others could flee. That's when the people from the centre found me."

I could tell that the boys where equally full of adoration and guilt from the elders declaration but it was saddening to know the weight Seokjin held on his shoulders. Even though the hybrid smiled at his younger I can still manage to see the hurt behind the twinkle in his eyes.

" I'm glad." I closed my eyes, exhaling softly. My heart skipped a beat as someone placed a hand upon my shoulder, I whipped my head towards the doe eyed boy at my side. His orbs were wide as he bit his lip nervously, quickly retracting his arm back to his side. I smiled softly before he avoided my gaze, a slight pink decorating his cheeks. I quickly looked back at Seokjin who's eyebrows furrowed slightly. " Now that you've found you're family are you going to leave."

" I think it's for the best." Both Namjoon and Seokjin scratched the back of their necks almost sheepishly. They were right, it was for the best yet their words still stung. " We are forever indebted to your kindness."

" But where will you go? How are you going to live?" I felt the quiver in my voice alongside the tug of worry in my heart. I couldn't bare it if any of them got hurt, if they couldn't survive.

It was silent for a moment, then a boy I hadn't head speak stepped forward determination in his eyes, however licked his lips almost nervously as he opened his mouth to speak. The slamming of the front door interrupted whatever he was about to say and I perked up almost instantly sprinting out of the kitchen towards the entrance. I barely heard the warning Seokjin had given about my stitches as I tried to seek out Yoongi.

When I found him he was at the base of the staircase and when I called out to him he stiffened, not bothering to turn to me. His ears flickered with each step I took towards him; and something to me seemed wrong. He was never this evasive, even when he was angry. I knew I had messed up. My hand had barely even grazed the material of his jacket when he flinched, arm flinging back into my stomach. The wind was knocked out of my chest as I stepped backwards, collapsing into the dresser.

His head instinctively whipped towards me and I couldn't help but gasp - a sense of betrayal overtaking me. A litter of bruises painted his face, a dark purple colour that had no doubt been there for a few days. His left eye was swollen and a light green colour, only defining the cut that was just above his eyebrow.

I pushed away from the dresser as Yoongi scurried up the stairs, an obvious limp in his leg. I trailed behind him, fingers grazing over the pain in my side. " Yoongi!" My breath caught in my throat as he halted and I took the time to get closer to him. " You promised me!"

He growled as a response, an animalistic sound that startled me. I couldn't help but flinch when he turned to look at me, two canines on show as he stalked towards me. I couldn't explain the fear that tore through me as I stepped backwards. " Yoongi, please!"

He was barely a step in front of me when I put my hands up to protect myself, not comprehending the next step I took. The next thing I knew I felt weightless, hand extending towards my brother as a crack sounded through the thumps of my body colliding with the wooden steps. I heard Yoongi call my name through the deafening noise in my ears, alongside the hollow patter of feet as my descent finally reached it's end.

Someone behind me helped me up into a sitting position and I couldn't help but feel guilty at the horrified expression Yoongi wore. His demeanour sagged, mouth agape as his fingers curled around the bannister.

" I - I'm sorry." His lips moved but I couldn't hear anything. A pair of legs ascended up the steps almost blocking the view of his next words. " I didn't mean to. I'm so sorry."

A sickness pooled in my throat as someone provided a glass of water. My right arm could barely move, so accepting it with a shaky left hand I took a sip trying to associate myself back to reality. I blinked for a moment before a growl sounded throughout the chaotic hall, the doe eyed boy was towering over Yoongi claws extending from his fingertips. My heart combusted as I dropped the glass, shaking my head violently.

" Don't hurt him!" I tried to plead with the boy, who turned to look at me. His claws shrunk slightly as the glare on his face relaxed. " Please don't hurt him."

I was so tired, I could barely try to blame myself for the accident. The arms around me grew tighter, as the doe eyed boy slowly descended the stairs. I could see Yoongi in all his damaged glory staring at me, his expression painful before finally escaping up to the desolate floor.

" Are you alright?" A voice I couldn't quite decipher spoke and all I could do was nod, eyes not leaving the corner Yoongi had turned. A few sighs chorused as two set of hands helped me to my feet. " Don't lie to me, we can all smell your pain."

My head fell limp as I was led back to the sitting room, who was I kidding, I really messed up this time. I winced slightly as I was placed onto the oblong couch, everyone seemed to crowd around me their expressions like a bag of pick'n'mix. Seokjin placed himself next to me, carefully examining me. The boys in front of me watched intently and if I was to hiss one of them would whimper. I would simply smile reassuringly at them, it was nice to have someone care even if it wasn't for long.

" I think you've fractured your arm, I can't quite tell but you've definitely got a concussion -" His fingers carefully traced my cheekbone. " - and a few bruises forming."

That was all they needed to start sprinting around the house in order to find the appropriate equipment or medicine to deal with my injuries. Even with all the events that occurred I couldn't just wonder if this is what family felt like.
