Part 26

2 week later...

Jack's P.O.V

This past 2 weeks has been the hardest time in my life. I want Maddie back so bad and i cant even talk to her. Even though Johnson told me that when she called him back, that she would work it all out with me after 2 weeks apart, Its still so hard, I'm in love with her. I know this for sure now because of how this past 2 weeks has gone.

Iv been in my room, sleeping. Watching movie's. If I'm not in my room, I'm at our spot. I know we only went there 2 times but that is our spot. Iv been there everyday since iv been back. Just looking out to the lake, sitting on the rocks, thinking about her. I need her back, were about to have a child together. Little 'nugget' is getting so big, Katey's been sending me the ultrasound picture's. Me and Maddie talked about not wanting to know the 'sex' of the baby until the birth, I still think its a girl though. 

"Jack, Why don't you come run some errands with me. I could use your help." My mum says as she stands in my door way. "I don't know....I..." I'm cut of by her talking again. "Jack, you have been in your room for the past 2 weeks. The only time you go out is to go to the lake. Come on, I need your help. Get out for the day." She says picking clothes out for me and handing me them. "Where leaving in ten minutes, be ready." She says walking out of my room, closing the door. I put the clothes on then I head down stair's and we leave.

"where are we even going?" I say getting into the passenger seat. "Shopping, food shopping. Then we have to go to the mall. I want to get some things there." She says driving out of the drive way. "when is dad getting home from his work trip?" I ask, trying to make conversation. He hasn't been home in weeks. "Um...I'm not to sure. Wow, its already 3pm." She says changing the subject. For some  reason she hasn't wanted to talk about my dad. She normally would keep me up to date to how he is or talk about how his at work, witch she hasn't done in over 3 weeks. I'm sure she hasn't even called him, witch is obviously not normal if your married to someone. I dont know whats going on with them. I dont talk to my dad normally so i have no idea where he really is. No one tell's me anything around here.

"Ok, Now. I need milk and some food for dinner tonight." My mums says as we walk into 'Walmart'. I grab us a cart and walk to get the milk. I help mum get ingredients to make tacos, there Maddie's favorite. My mum said she just felt like them tonight. She's acting kind of weird.

"Ok,we have to go to the mall now. I want to get something from there." My mum says getting into the car and starting it. We get to the mall and my mum goes into some baby shop. "What are you doing?" I ask stopping her right before she puts a foot into the store. "I need to get something from here." She says walking into the shop. I follow her in, everything is so small. Baby's cant be that small, right?

"Excuse me sir, Can i please get this one." My mums says pointing to a white baby cot. "Mum the baby's living in LA? why would you get a cot?" I ask, "For when you stay with me for the first 3 weeks. Me and Maddie spoke about it." She says, looking around the store. "We can deliver that to your house tomorrow." The man says, talking to my mum. "Mum, Maddie's not even 6 months pregnant." I say. "thank you,sir. ill order that for drop off tomorrow." My mum says talking to the guy, signing some forms. "Mum, answer me." I say, trying not to get angry. "It go's pretty fast Jack. i want to have a room for the new baby at my house, so when you visit, the baby can have its own room." She says looking at the baby clothes. "Mum we dont know the sex of the baby.", "There are a lot of gender neutral clothes and that cot is gender neutral too, calm down Jack. look at some clothes and relax." She says pointing to some baby clothes. I look around the store, Pick out a few things for 'nugget' and we pay. "Ok, thats all i needed lets go home and get dinner ready." She says and we leave.

We get home and i walk up to my room, sitting on my bed. "Get out of your room, your surprise will be here soon." My mum says walking into my room. "what surprise?" I ask, i have no idea what she's talking about. "You will have to wait for it, until it come's. Come down stairs and help me cook." She says walking out of my room, i follow her down stairs and help her make the taco's. I hear my mums phone ring, "Mum your phones ringing." I say about to pick it up and hand it to her, she grabs it and runs out the room. What the hell, my mum never used to be like that with her phone.

After 10 minutes she walks back into the room, saying nothing, just continuing what she was doing. "Who was that?" I ask, "Ow no one. Can you help me lay the table?" She says handing me the plates. I lay out the table and my mum run's out the front door. "Mum?" I yell from the kitchen. what the hell's wrong with her all of sudden. She runs back inside and hugs me. "Mum are you ok?" I ask, "Your surprise is here." She says looking at me with the biggest smile. "go outside." She says standing there while i walk outside.

I thought i was seeing things. Her big smile, long brown hair and her amazing big brown eye's. i run up to her and grab her in my arms, hugging her. "I dont ever want to be without you again." I say, still holding her. "I know, i didnt mean anything i said.", "I didnt ether, You mean everything to me baby, Im so sorry." I say holding her tighter. "Im sorry too." We kiss, It felt like forever since we kissed. "Baby nugget." I say, talking into Maddie's tummy. "You have grown so much. Daddy missed you too." i say still talking into her tummy, kissing it. "Come on lets go inside. Your mum said you helped her cook?" Maddie asks, I grab her hand and led her inside. "Do you like your surprise?" My mum asks. "Best surprise ever." I say sitting at the table, next to Maddie. "YUMMY, taco's are my favorite." Maddie says putting some food on her plate. I'v missed her so much. "Nugget is getting big." My mum says, "I know. Im about 6 months, this week actually.", "have you told your mum yet? It must be hard to hide that around the media." My mum says leaning over the table. "Im going to tell her tomorrow. Yeah i think there starting to catch on." Maddie says, taking a bite of her taco. 

After dinner me and Maddie help clean up and go up to my room. We talk about everything, then turn a movie on. "Did your mum tell you about our plans for the baby?" She asks. "Yeah, what do you think your mum's going to say?" I ask, "She will freak out for sure but its not her life, its our's." She says. Iv never even met Maddie's parents,"Can i come? like meet your parents?" I ask. "Yeah, I was going to ask if you wanted to come anyway." We fall asleep watching the movie. It feel's right, having her in my arms again.
