"does this look good enough?" i asked as i did a little spin
"yes!" lilac said with a smile
"okay then let's go"
lilac, violet, and tristan stood up and followed me out my bedroom door and downstairs
of course i was dressed as marilyn monroe, lilac as judy garland, violet as grace kelly, and tristan as john f kennedy

"i just realized we're all dressed up as dead people.." i said, pausing in my tracks
"shit, then amber is going to make fun of us" lilac said
"she's going to make fun of us no matter what" said tristan
"she's just some dumb rich girl who has no personality whatsoever. who gives a shit what she thinks of us" i said
lilac then sighed as mom walked up the stairs but pausing
"hello? are you guys going to move.. i'm going out with a couple of friends tonight and i need to change into something fancy" mom said, looking us up and down as we all stood frozen on the stairs
"oh uh yeah" i coughed out as we moved out of the way
mom started walking up the stairs but then paused in her tracks
"wait, i need to take a picture! let me get my camera" she said as she ran up the stairs and into her bedroom
not even 20 seconds later mom had us lined up on the stairs and took like 50 pictures of us
"uh mom? i think you took enough pictures.." i said, tilting my head in a confused manner
"hold on one more picture" mom said but then took 5 more pictures before letting us go
"bye, love you" i said as we walked out the door
"love you too" she yelled
"ugh my eyes" lilac groaned as she rubbed her eyes
"why was that camera light thing so bright? i think i'm going blind!" said lilac
i chuckled in response before opening the car door and getting in, lilac, violet, and tristan following suit
"so, where are we going?" tristan asked
"how about we go trick or treating first? then at 10 there is going to be a party at cher horowitz's place? you guys wanna go?" i asked as i started driving
"sure, but what neighborhood are we trick or treating in?" tristan asked
"yk that neighborhood that's a block away from dionne's neighborhood? well i heard that neighborhood gives out the best candy? how about we go there" lilac asked
