Chase hadn't said another word to Ayla since the conversation in the car. The she-wolf didn't let it bother her, knowing that he'd probably apologize after school for yelling at her. To be fair, she understood why he had been mad. He would be pissed if he actually knew everything she had gotten herself into over the past year. But she also needed him to understand that he couldn't stop her.

She walked into school with Piper. The power was still out, but students were milling around the halls. "You sure you should be here?" Ayla asked the other girl.

"It was a mild concussion," Piper reminded.

"And three stitches," Ayla added.

Piper frowned at her. "I'll be fine, okay? I just want to check on Kira," she admitted.

Having already checked the cafeteria, Piper walked down the hall. She finally spotted who she was looking for. Kira was sitting on the floor, eating her lunch alone. The brunette sat down next to her.

"I don't want to talk about it," Kira told her.

Piper shrugged. "Okay," she agreed, opening her own bag of chips.

"Are you okay at least?" Kira wondered.

"Uh, three stitches and a minor concussion," Piper admitted.

"Oh, my God," Kira mumbled.

Piper shrugged it off. "It wasn't that bad. I was pretty out of it. And my mom decided that it awarded me McDonald's chicken nuggets at midnight when I got out of the ER. I think the fact that I was drugged helped us get along better, honestly," she admitted.

Kira sent the other girl a look, but Piper didn't say anything else. The two went back to sitting in silence for a short moment, before the new girl sighed. "Do you have your phone?" Piper nodded. "I'm going to show you something no one else has ever seen. No one except for Barrow. Take a picture of me, and use the flash," Kira told her.

Piper frowned at her in confusion, but did as asked. Her frown deepened as she went to her camera roll and saw how the originally normal looking photo had changed. There was an odd golden aura coming from Kira. "What is that?" she wondered.

"I don't know. It started showing up a couple of months ago. It only happens with the flash on. And I don't know how, but Barrow knew about it. He used my phone to take pictures of me," Kira explained.

"Where's your phone now?" Piper asked.

"The police took it as evidence. If someone sees those pictures..."

Piper stared at the other girl. "We have to get your phone back," she decided, standing up.

Of course, if you were going to break into the police station, who better to help you than the Sheriff's son? The sun had set by the time Piper and Kira met Scott, Ayla, and Stiles outside the police station.

"Okay, this one will get you into all of the perimeter doors, this one into the evidence room, and this one's for my father's office," Stiles told them as he handed all the key cards to Piper.
