"Honey, I donn't thi-"
"Pleaaasee?" she begs, jutting out her bottom lip, hands clamped together. I smile fondly at her.
"Okay, okay." I sigh over dramatically. "What do I do?" I ask, standing there as she dances around me. She reaches her hands for mine and I take them. She then twirls us both around, giggling and smiling. I pick her up, spinning her in the air as she laughs. I go to put her back onto the floor, but her tiny arms circle around my neck.
I let my arms go slack, releasing her as she just hangs by my neck. I laugh, she was acting so silly, her face buried in my neck, holding on for dear life. I chuckled until I hear her whimper, tears wetting my neck.
"April." I say sadly, trying to pull her away from me in order to talk to her. This only made her grip tighter.
"No." she sniffled.
"Honey, what's wrong? We were having fun." I try to lighten the mood. She says something muffled against my neck that I couldn't make out. "Sweetheart, please talk to me." I rub her back as she takes her face out of my neck.
"Y-You're gonna l-leave again. I-I don't want you to go! I love y-you." she sobs.
"Ap-"
"No, you always say that you are gonna s-stay, but you always l-leave. We are happy and then y-you leave us and we're sad. Daddy's s-sad, and me too. P-Please don't go again." she cries, returning her face to my neck.
"I'm here to stay this time April, I really am." I kiss her head, "I am not leaving again. I hate leaving you and daddy. I love you both so much. I love you , April." I hold her close, fighting back tears of my own.
We both eventually settle down and I let her watch Frozen, her absolute favorite movie ever. I just wanted to see her smile again. It was so much to put on my little girl. All this trouble, she shouldn't have to go through this, she's a child.
She was belting out 'Do you Wanna Build a Snowman?' hardcore. She silenced a bit when Anna started balancing on the bicycle down the hallway.
"Fairy? Can you teach me how to ride a bike?" she asks softly. "I asked Daddy awhile ago, but he said that you would." she said, looking up at me.
"Yeah, yeah of course I can teach you to ride a bike." I grin. It had honestly been a dream of mine to teach my child to ride a bike. It was just wanna those things that I would just feel so proud to do. Like I was a father and I'm going to teach my daughter to ride a bike and she will be the best damn bike rider in the whole neighborhood.
"Really?! When can we?!?" she asks, jumping up. I laugh at her excitement.
"Honey, we have to wait for daddy, we have to buy you a bike too. Hopefully he'll be home soon." Luke had gone to the grocery store about an hour ago and I knew I should've gone with him. He just cares far too much about what brand of cereal is the best or something like that. He insists on reading every label just to make sure what he's giving us is 'good.'
It was insanely adorable, unless we were in a rush. Then it wasn't so cute.
"Fairy, can I get a pink bike?" she asks.
"You can get any color bike you want princess." I tell her as she squeals and hugs me. As if on cue, Luke walks through the door, arms full of groceries, kicking the door closed with his foot.
"Hey." he muffles, having his keys in his mouth. I quickly hop up to help him carry the food into the kitchen, as April begins to watch the movie again.
"You remembered." I say, kissing him greatly. He gave me a confused look.
"Uh, remembered what?" he asks, a bit confused. I kiss him again, not being able to help myself.
"That I always wanted to teach our kid to ride a bike." I grin.
"So I'm guessing she brought it up?" he giggled. "She's been talking about it non stop, but, it wouldn't have been right if it were me. It had to be you." he smiles, leaning up to place another lingering kiss on my lips.
"I love you." I brush my nose against his, butterflies erupting in my stomach.
"I love you more." he breaths.
A thought popped into my head, we were still divorced. Luke and I had never gotten re-married after everything that happened. Sure, we still wear our rings and tell everyone we are married, but we aren't. Not technically at least.
"Luke, " I ask hesitantly, "Marry me?"
"What?" he giggles, not quite understanding.
"Marry me, we never did get re-married. So I'm asking now." I get down on one knee, never taking my jade eyes off of his crystal blue ones. "Luke Hemmings, I love you with everything I have, would you please become Luke Clifford again?"
"Of course Mikey." he grins widely, connecting our lips once more. The fire and electricity surging through me. Everything was finally falling back into place.
And we could finally put the past behind us.
SORRY IT WAS SHORT BUT IM HELLA TIRED
Okay
I HAVE AN ENDING PLANNED OUT FOR THIS
U WILL ALL HATE ME.
AND I MEAN LITERALLY U WILL HATE ME
ITS NOT HAPPY(they don't die)
BUT U WILL JUST HATE ME AND I REALLY DON'T WANT YOU TO:(
its just freakin perfect in my opinion, but it isn't happy. I honestly like non happy ending better, since it's actually real. Some peoples stories dont end in fairytales, and neither will this one.
IM SORRY
hugz and tickles
