We Promised.... But What Happened?

*3 month time skip*

Karen's POV

WHEW!!! Finally we are in November. The best month ever. Why you ask. Because Doe and I celebrate our birthdays and Thanksgiving is coming up too. Usually we fly to Florida for our birthdays along with Tam, Jacky and their parents. But this year, Doe and I decided that we wanted to stay home. We just wanted to spend time with our moms. But the weekend before our birthday, Tam and Jacky's mom decided that they wanted to cook a birthday dinner for us. We have less than two weeks to prepare and we still have found our outfits. I'm fixing up my room when there's a knock on my door.

*knock on door*

"Come in." I said. It's my mom

"Hey baby. The girls are here. I'm getting ready to head to work." My said

Yep. You guessed it. School is closed. We had some snow but not hard enough to close schools. But y'all know how these people can get. One drop of snow and they get scared and shut down. So everyone just convenes at my home and we do our school work.

Jacky and I are in Chemistry 2 and Creative Writing together, Doe and Tam are in Physics 2 and Drama class together, we all take math, African American History, and Chorus together.
"What's poppin shawty?" Of course Doe has to be ghetto.

"Wassup girl." Jacky and Tam said

"Hey y'all." I replied

"Ohhhhh girl you actually cleaned up?? That's a first." Doe replied

I gave her a look.

"First off, I did laundry last night. Secondly my room is never dirty unlike yours." I snapped back

"Ugh. Is Mother Nature in town or sumn? You a lil rawr." Doe teased

"Actually she is. You should know. We're all in sync together. So it's best you, Cruelly De Vil leave me alone." Karen said

"Yeah but I'm not grouchy. She's only here for 3 days so... in the end I win." Doe teased

"You're right about that cause that heifer showed up last night. Very ghetto." Jacky and Tam replied

"I still don't understand how you get 3 days while we last 5-7 days." Tam said

"God knew how my attitude is set up so I guess he didn't want his child to suffer that much. I'm blessed." Doe smiled

"Anyways, what do y'all wanna work on first? We only have work for 4 classes. Including that packet from Mrs. Dawns." Jacky said

"Well I need help on my Physics homework, so I was thinking that Tam and I could work on that and you and Karen could work on your Chem work." Doe suggested

"Sounds like a plan. It won't take us long since it's not much" Karen said

"Cool. Let's hit these books." Tam said

For the next 6 hours nonstop cause they didn't wanna get distracted, the girls worked on every assignment they had so that way they could be caught up and finished with everything before Thanksgiving break.
