"Ma, ito lang kukunin ko!" I shouted as I was rushing my way outta door holding a piece of egg sandwich.

I'm late, I'm dead and I overslept. Nauna na si Kuya, ni hindi man lang ako ginising!

"Scarlet! Your breakfast!" sigaw ni mama. I came back inside our home just to get my mom's homemade breakfast.

"Eat that before 12 Scarlet. It's not good to skip breakfast." she reminded me again. I kissed her cheeks as I respond.

"Yes mom, Mauna na ako, I'm 20 minutes late." I bid my goodbye hurriedly.

Nang makalabas naman ako ay saktong may tricycle na dumaan. Agad ko itong pinara.

Iniopen ko 'yong gc namin. Inaantok pa rin ako pero napilitang maligo. Sabog na sabog ako at walang ibang maisip maliban nalang sa na late ako.

As I expected, I recieved messages from them. Asking if I was okay and what happened.

Jaxe Leo Dizon:
Hey, are you okay? Class is starting.

Agad akong nag tipa ng reply nang mabasa 'yong message niya 10 minutes ago.

Lency Scarlet Degracia:
Otw! I woke up late!

Right I sent that message, I saw how he immediately read my chat.

Jaxe Leo Dizon:
Don't rush yourself too much. The teacher just left.

Kumunot 'yong noo ko nang mabasa 'yon. Left?

Lency Scarlet Degracia:
Left? Why? Where'd she go?

Jaxe Leo Dizon:
Personal Matters.

He replied. Instead of replying, I reacted to his message. Suddenly I felt calm. Phew, may oras pang natitira bago 'yong second subject. I can still re-read my notes.

The driver then parked in front of our campus. Wala nang students.

Malamang, late ka eh.

I gave manong driver my fare as I fixed my uniform and ID.

I greeted the guard good morning after he checked my ID and he did the same. I walked passed the pavilion. The good thing is that the grade 8 building is just a few steps from the main gate. Unlike the senior high buildings that we literally have to walk pass the school field just to get there.

As I arrived in our building, I rushed into our room. It's located on the first floor so I don't have to use the elevator or the stairs.

I peeked through the window. I saw them minding their own businesses. Our teacher is not around. My eyes immediately flew to my chair. I gripped my bag when I saw my favorite spot occupied by pearl.

I calmed my self before entering our classroom.

"Lency!" Ivy shouted when she noticed me. Her voice was too loud that everyone noticed my arrival.

Napalingon naman si Aries at Casper na nagtatalo sa chess sa cellphone nila. They smiled and stopped what they're doing when they saw me.
