Part 1: Melody of Desperation

24 4 1

The summers came and went
And he stayed still
Too afraid to move
Too afraid to live.
The melody playing,
So quiet and sincere.
His poor heart begging,
To be set free
From its little golden cage,
So tight and strange,
With emeralds and sages.

But a single drop of love

Could make life less sore.

Is it enough, though,

To make living worth a shot?

Who can find freedom
In a love so close to hate?
In a fear so beautifully dressed
It could almost look like passion?
Is there life after a pain
So profound it stays?
Can he run away
Or is death his only friend?
