A/N: Mikael is from Norway, and in some countries of Scandinavia this tradition of using "name +son" as a last name is still practiced. Because of that, Mikael decided to do it for his kids. That's why one of their last names is Mikaelson. Mostly because his father did the same for him and Mikael didn't want his children to have their grandfather's name as their last name.
