"Last push..."

Bea whispered to herself, fending off the exhausting feeling as she resumed eating the breakfast that was given by Jia's Mom. She is tired yet kept her head up high in this do or die game. Jia has been her closest and constant motivator, even if she cannot be present in the stands like she always was before Pandemic.

Bea is proud of Creamline making it, and she knew they could. A complete team, who quickly makes up for everything they lack in. They have Alyssa, Jia and Jema, all MVPs in the past Conferences plus Coach Tai. Technically a tough team to beat.

"Masarap ang kain lalo na pag galing  'yon sa taong mahal mo." Caitlin said as she observed Bea enjoying her meal. Bea looked up with a smile, "Nako, sana all na lang!"

"Enough to get by a tiring week." Bea snickered. A really tiring week. Caitlin understood and gave her a pat on the back. "We're going through our fifth straight game later. Would you believe it?"

"To be honest Ate, I have no idea how we are not yet lying on the stretchers." Caitlin quipped triggering a huge laughter between the two, lighting up the mood. "I swear."

"Salamat na lang at nakayanan pa." Bea smiled and shrugged, trying to put up a positive mindset in this uncertain time.

"We can do it, Ate. Tiwala." Caitlin smiled while drinking coffee, gazing at the open area from their balcony.

Tiwala.

Heartstrong.

Heart of a Champion.

After the game, Bea walked her way towards their room with eyes swollen from a heartbreaking loss. Her body nearly gave up and barely made any noise throughout the game.

She opened the door and saw Jia sitting at the side of her bed. Jia gazed and smiled, gesturing Bea to come near.

"I'm proud of you, baby." Jia said as Bea cradled herself in her arms, sealing a forehead kiss to ease her down while crying. "You'll finally get that much needed rest. I love you."

"I'm sorry, baby." Bea whispered in between sobs, resting herself in Jia's chest.

"No, you did your job well. Nothing to say sorry about." Jia caressed Bea's face and wiped her tears.

Jia separated herself and laid down on the bed before letting Bea rest on her chest, with arms wrapped around her waist. Sobs became less as Jia continued comforting, rubbing her back and massaging her temple. Bea raised her head to meet Jia's eye. Jia pecked her lips, slowly brightening her mood.

Minutes later, Bea moves up to snuggle her head in between Jia's neck and shoulder, intertwining their legs and free hands, "Thank you, baby. I love you."

And there you are, winning me over and over with your love and care.

My rest.

My home.
