You are (Y/N) (L/N), a 4th year Slytherin. You had been asked to the Yule Ball by your crush, Cedric Diggory.
*Your POV*
I stood by the entrance to the Great Hall, anxiously waiting for Cedric. I wasn't nervous about being with him, I was nervous about how we would be dancing infront of everyone since he was one of the champions.
"Sorry it took me so long, my roommate was freaking out over his robes." Cedric said, finally joining me.
Before either of us could say anything else, Mcgonagall announced that we had to get ready for the dance. We all walked into the hall and waited for the music to start.
"You'll be fine, just look at me." Cedric said as the music started.
I followed his lead, only stepping on his toes a couple of times. As soon as others started moving to the dance floor, we decided to go get a drink.
"See, it wasn't that bad." Cedric said as we both took a sip of our drinks, which were obviously spiked.
"Are you sure that I didn't break any of your toes?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'm sure." He laughed.
The music changed beat and Cedric drug me back to the dance floor. I laughed as he spun me around and we danced like idiots. Eventually we got tired of the loud music and decided to get some food and go outside.
"What the heck is this?" Cedric asked, holding up some kind of fancy dessert.
"I'm guessing it's French." I said, shrugging my shoulders.
We both laughed as we ate the rest of our snacks before we decided to go for a walk round the courtyard.
"This is fun." Cedric said as we walked.
"Yeah, it is." I said, hesitantly grabbing his hand and intertwining our fingers.
He squeezed my hand lightly, making me glance over at him. He had a big smile on his face.
"It's getting late, we better get back inside." Cedric said, still smiling.
"But it's nice out here." I said.
"You'll freeze if we stay out here much longer." He argued.
Ok, maybe I was an itty bit cold.
"Fine." I sighed, giving in to the handsome boy beside me and letting him lead me back inside the castle.
We walked through the corridors for a little while until we were right outside my commonroom.
"I had alot of fun tonight." Cedric said, hugging me.
I froze before hugging him back.
"Yeah, me too." I said, smiling.
