You are (Y/N) Martin, a fifth year Ravenclaw. You are a muggleborn, along with your brother Logan who is also in Ravenclaw, but a sixth year, while your cousin Laura Okwiniski, who is in Slytherin, is a halfblood.

*Your POV*

Being a Ravenclaw has its ups and downs. The downs being when my cousin talks me into tutoring other students, when I really don't have time.

"If he doesn't pass his exams he's getting kicked off of the team! We can't win without him, and there is no way in hell I'm letting Smith play in his place. You remember what happened last time." Laura said as we sat in the library.

No, I wasn't doing homework. I was actually trying to find an excuse as to why I couldn't tutor Marcus Flint. The guy hated me, but was bestfriends with my cousin for reasons unknown to me. Laura and I both knew that it would be impossible for me to say no to her.

"What subjects do I need to help him with?" I sighed.

"Lucky for you, only Charms and Astronomy." Laura said with a smirk, making me groan.

Yes, I excelled in both classes but I hated astronomy. I didn't really have a reason, I just did.

"Fine." I said, begrudgingly crossing my arms.

After setting up the plans with Laura, I set off to find my roommate and bestfriend Minnie Hutchens. I found her in our dorm, and as soon as I walked through the door she looked up from the book that had been placed in her lap.

"What did Laura get you to agree to this time?" She asked with an amused smile on her face.

"She's making me tutor Flint." I spat, flopping on my bed.

"Maybe it won't be as bad as you think. When do you have to meet him?" Minnie asked.

"Tomorrow night." I groaned.

"Good luck." She laughed.

The next day school sped by quickly, much to my disappointment. Before I knew it, it was time for me to head to the library for the study session. When I got there, Marcus was waiting. He groaned as soon as he saw me.

"I was hoping you wouldn't show up." He grumbled, begrudgingly opening his charms book.

"Look, I want to be here just as much as you do. If you're going to be an arse, I'll just leave. I don't give a damn whether or not you pass." I said, setting my books on the table.

Marcus sighed, rolling his eyes at me. This is going to be a long night.

"What part is giving you trouble?" I asked, flipping to the chapter that we've been working on.

His face tinted slightly pink as he glanced up at me.

"The Avis spell." Marcus said.

"We don't want to practice that in here, Pince will have our hides. I know somewhere that we can go, though." I said, gathering my books and standing up.

"Where?" He asked, hesitant to follow me.

"You'll have to wait and see." I said, walking out of the library with Marcus following me. It didn't take long for us to get to our location. I paced back and forth infront of the wall, making Marcus stare at me as if I was crazy. That is, until a door appeared.

"Woah." He said as we stepped inside.

"You said it was the Avis spell, right?" I asked, setting my books on a table.

A week went by and Marcus and I don't completely hate each other. We met up every night to study, since exams start tomorrow. Minnie has joined us twice, bless her heart. Everything was going well until Logan found out.

"Why would you want to help him?" He asked angrily at breakfast.

"He's not that bad." I said, rolling my eyes at my brother.

"He's only nice because you're helping him." He shot back.

"Whatever you say." I said, standing up and leaving for my first class.

Another week went by and our exams ended today. We had all been given our results at dinner, right before we left for our commonrooms. I waited behind everyone to look at the papers. I got "E"s in Potions and Divination and "O"s in everything else. When I looked up, Marcus was standing infront of me, holding out his results. He looked excited, so that was a good sign. I glanced down at the paper in my hand. "E"s in both Charms and Astronomy. I smiled, standing up and wrapping my arms around his neck. Marcus stiffened at the contact but, after a moment, wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his chin on top of my head.

"I guess this means that we don't have to hang out anymore." He said, although I could tell that he wasn't being serious.

"I don't know what you're talking about. I'm dragging your arse to the Three Broomsticks tomorrow." I said, pulling away from the hug and kissing him on the cheek.

"Goodnight." I said with a smile as I walked to my commonroom, leaving him standing there blushing.
