Patton: Well obviously we don't go! We have to keep him safe!
Janus: As much as I disagree, Virgil specifically asked for Logan's opinion.
Thomas: I... We need roman back! I can't even think up a clever comeback! Or A bad comeback!
Logan: ...So this is what it comes down to, huh.
Janus: *smirks* What do you think 'loggy?'
Logan: I believe... *dramatic music as everyone worries as to what he's gonna say. Janus seems confident.* the correct choice here... is to go.
Janus: Say what?
*Thomas smiles in terrified relief, Patton gives a sad smile.
Logan: I said we are going.
Janus: Well, this is totally what I wanted you to say... but maybe you should explain your reasoning to Patton.
Logan: *Sigh* We agree I am a manifestation of logic, correct?
Thomas: More than that, but yes.
Logan: My job is to find the best pathway to the conclusion. My priorities are not focused on 'feelings...'
Janus: ...
Logan: And, If I may add... Virgil deserves a bit more respect than this.
Patton: What do you mean?
Logan: I mean, he is willingly stepping up to assist us. Obviously, I also want him to come out safely. But, he has chosen. If he believes he can take it, we should believe in him and trust him. And he's trusting us with this as well. So, let's go.
Janus: ... I see. . .well, let us begin I suppose.
Logan: Patton? Are you ok with this?
Patton: I really really don't want to put this on him...
Thomas: Hey, Patton, we're all in this together.
Janus: To stop you from singing, I should mention that I did tell Virgil to stop if he becomes overburdened.
Logan: It's all gonna be ok, Patton.
Patton: O-okay. I trust you all.
*All smiling best they can*
Logan: Alright Thomas, whenever you're ready!
*Thomas closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. They all begin to sink put and it goes dark. It stays like this for a good few seconds more than usual. Then they pop back up. Patton opens one of his tightly shut eyes to look*
Janus: Well, would you look at that...
Thomas: Virgil did it!
Logan: He sure did. Now I think we can assume that Roman is forcefully keeping us out like this.
Patton: . . .But now what?
Logan: Well, let's get Virgil back here and discuss it. Virgil? ...
Thomas: Virgil? You there, buddy?
Patton: Oh no no no no
Janus: It's alright Patton. I'll go check on him. *he quickly sinks out. The rest stay silent*
Thomas: ...You know... now I feel worse somehow.
Logan: How so?
Thomas: I don't know... I guess... knowing Roman is keeping us all out... it's... wait, is anxiety working properly??
Logan: It seems so. What's the matter?
Thomas: I don't know?? I feel bad obviously but not necessarily scared!?
Patton: Oh no not again!
Logan: Hold on, you're self-aware, and you're worried that you aren't worried... *He thinks really hard.*
Patton: Do you know anything Logan?
Logan: I.... I don't... I don't know... why do I not know??
Patton: To be fair this situation is very not knowy.
Thomas: That's fair.
Logan: But there are too many unknown factors! I...
Thomas: ...Patton!
Patton: huh?!
Thomas: Tell us a dad joke.
Patton: Uh, ok then!
Logan: Wait why-
Patton: What do runners eat before a big race?
Logan: ...are we really doing this?
Patton: Nothing! They fast! *He laughs along with Thomas. Logan sighs but has the tiniest smile.*
Thomas: Calmed down?
Logan: I'm always calm.
Janus: Leave Logan be, he won't admit It's a helpful distraction for him.
*They all turn to Janus who looks highly upset*
Thomas: Is Virgil...?
*Janus swallows. Before snapping his fingers. Suddenly, Virgil appears, unconscious on the stairs. They all gasp.*
