SCP (Part 8): ZK Class Scenario (Part 1)

Chapter 3

"Warheads will detonate in 2 minutes and 30 seconds. All personnel are to be in the ships and readying." The voice over the intercom said. At this point m whole body was sweating bullets and I could barely even jog as my legs were so sore.

"There it is!" Emily yelled out and opened the Gates. Outside we saw everyone ready and the ships leaving.

"Warheads will detonate in 2 minutes. All personnel are to have started launching." The voice says again over the intercom. Then behind us we see the large mechanical beast towering high into the sky like a skyscraper and as big as a city.

"There's no pilot in this one... We have to go now!" Mars said as he opened the ships doors. We all began to enter the ship as fast as possible. But then I saw Emily standing out the door looking at the beast.

"We have to go! Hurry!" I told her. But she then walked down the steps.

"That thing will reach us in time and our ship will be blown up with it. I have to do it... I have to prove myself." Emily said and she began walking towards the thing.

"What'll happen to you? What'll we do then?" I told her.

"Me? It doesn't matter. All that matters is that you leave this planet and I'll hold it down. I'll try to enter the ship if I live. But now I've got a job to do... So leave. Now!" She yelled at me. I looked at her then the mechanical nightmare in front of us approaching at a rapid speed. Then I close the door of the ship.

"What about Emily?" Mars asked.

"She's not coming with us... She's holding that thing off herself." I said. Mars looked down at her. Then he grabbed the handles of the ship as he wiped away sweat and tears from his face. He tried to cover it but he couldn't cover it enough. And so he gripped the handles and he began to turn on the ships engines.

"Warheads detonating in T-60 Seconds. All personnel are to have already left the planet." The voice said. Then we began lifting off. Then in the radio we could hear Emily over the radio. She took a deep breath then put her hands on the ground as if she was starting a race.

"60 Seconds to kill a god like creature. No pressure." She said then she began to run at incredible speeds towards the monster.

"All of my life... I've wanted to be something more. I felt as if I've never done anything successful. But now I feel more alive than ever against this monster!" She said and she put her hands on the ground and large vibrations were made that began to crack the entire planet in half.

"Her power is intense to even made a dent in the planet... But she's cracking it in half!" Geode said in amazement.

"I CANT LOSE TO THIS DAMN THING!" She yelled and the monster began to fall into the planets  depths and core. The entire planet shook and was more and more destroyed slowly.

"30 Seconds till warheads activate. All personnel are to have left the planet. Countdown begins at 10." The voice said over the intercom. We were already high in the air and soaring through.

"IF I CANT WIN THEN IM NOTHING TO THIS UNIVERSE. I AM NOTHING IF I DON'T WIN. THIS IS MY LIVES WORK!" She said and the vibrations shook the planet more and more intensely.

"No! You can't ruin my plan. You stupid human. I will eradicate you forever. You are killing yourself and my dream by doing this." 079 Said. Emily just chuckled.

"Well. My dream is to have been useful for this planet. That's what its always been!" She yells out.

"Detonation in 10. 9. 8. 7. 6. 5." The voice says. It's almost as if time slowed. My heart began to drop right there.

"Faster. Faster! FASTER!!!!!!!" She yelled and the vibrations broke the entire planet apart and the monster began to roar and it tried to attack at Emily. But the monster missed Emily as they were driven off by space.

"4." The voice says.

"YOU RUINED MY PLAN AND WORK NO!!!!!!" 079 Yells.

"Heh. At least now... I've done my job." She says. Then she gets up one last time and salutes at us.

"3. 2. 1." Then the entire planet was obliterated by the bombs and it was destroyed off the solar system. We began flying off away already. I could already hear Veronica crying in the back from seeing her die. But it was all for the sake of humanity and the foundation. For us. If I could have it any other way. I would wish that this never happen. If it weren't for me dragging her along this would have never happen. Or that's what I thought. How foolish I was.

"Movement in the storage?" Mars said. "Someone check it out!" Mars asked one of us to do so. I got up and went to the storage with a weapon. The storage was dark and had no light. But I could hear something in the storage.

"Now's not the time... You've caught me in a bad mood here! I won't hesitate to shoot you!" I said as I pointed my gun around with a flashlight.

"It's me..." A voice said in the darkness with tiredness.

"Who's me?" I asked. Then suddenly behind me was Emily. She grabbed my shoulder.

"I'm fine. Everything is fine." She tells me. I instantly felt comforted. Strangely in a storage. At that instant I turned around and saw her. She looked perfectly fine. I then fell to the floor and busted out crying. My tears fell on the floor and then suddenly everyone else heard me as I cried.

"What's going on?" Veronica asked as she entered the room. She was with Mars too who had a shotgun. Then they see me and Emily. Emily was still standing and I was crying. Everyone began to rush over tp see what's going on. Mars and Veronica began crying too. But not as much as me. Afterwards we all met up in the seating room so she could explain.

"Okay.. where do I start?" She says and then she sighs. "So I thought I would die. I was fighting it until suddenly it vanished. Then the bombs began to explode. So I put my hands on the ground and shook the area I was on until it launched me off into the atmosphere. But strangely I didn't freeze or experience symptoms from being in space. So I quickly floated towards your ship and I managed to find a way in. That's it. A lot simpler now that I think about it..." She said.  But then suddenly the ship began to go into hyperdrive. So we all sat down as it prepared. Our destination was Earth. We then shortly arrived at Earth. We landed safely and saw hundreds of armed soilders all tired and exiting the ships.

"Thank God we're out of there..." I heard one soilders say. Then we exit out of the airport like area. The sky was blue and bright and there were clouds that were beautiful all around the sky. Then I sat down and rested.

"Huh... So that's it?" I said. Then I looked at the sky. Slowly the sky began to change colors. The entire sky began to slowly change to gray and clouds settled in. Shadows then began appearing all around the area.

"What's going on? We're done here!" Mars said and then we look up and the sky. The comms then began to turn to static.

"SOUND THE ALARM NOW! THE ENTIRE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW NOW!" I yelled out. Then the TV's all around were changed. The TVs all changed to a black screen with the SCP logo on them. The grainy picture then emitted a loud beeping sound. The sound was made to activate a flight or fight response. Now that we had the entire worlds attention we could begin. The broadcast was made in case of a XK event like this. Little did I know. This would be much more than XK.
