After spending hours of pure elation through copious amounts laughter alongside back and forth jokes, Mark and Yeonhee both were now in her room in a state of silence, a comfortable one at that.
He laid on the bed, an arm behind his head and eyes closed while she had rested her head on his stomach as she replied to some emails with a squint of her eyes at the bright light amidst the darkened room.
Cracking open his eyes and peering down at the girl, Mark's hand reaching out to cover her squinted eyes. "Yo, you're hurting your eyes you shouldn't look at it so close to you."
"Sorry Mother, does that mean I can't look at you because your beauty hurts my eyes?" She shot back with a grin, sending an exaggerated wink.
Laughter spilled from his lips, shaking his head down at her antics. "You're strange." "And you're not? Hm, that's what I thought Markie."
He scoffed at her response, humming unconvincingly as his head dropped down on the pillow with his head tilted up to the ceiling yet his eyes remained closed.
There was a shift on the bed as Yeonhee put her phone down, turning herself around on her stomach with her forearms on the bed to haul herself half up to see his face.
