PLOT: For years, (Y/N) (L/N) and Harry Potter had been friends. Even before they knew that they were a witch and a wizard. Even before they learned the existence of the Wizarding World. Even before they started Hogwarts. But as they entered sixth year, they realized they weren't 'just a friend' after things had started to go haywire in between them.

(Y/N) (L/N), a Ravenclaw sixth year, was seen on a nice Saturday afternoon in a cold January inside the library, books all over the table she was sitting alone for the whole morning. Parchments and ink bottles were on a small part of the table. She was busy doing not her own homeworks but the others.

She was paid by Galleons for doing homeworks for other students. As a poor witch that was living on a Muggle subdivision, she have to earn money for her magical studies. She still have two years before she could graduate, meaning, she still have two years to endure in making essays for money.

She have friends that were constantly trying to help her with her expenses, however, she was too stubborn to receive any help from them. Instead, she did what she could do inside Hogwarts.

After finishing six essays out of ten that afternoon, she put down her quill with her shaking hand due to the constant scratching though the parchments, and stretched out after some hour of not doing it since the morning. She grunted inaudibly, and looked around the library. She was not alone because some of the other students were doing their own homeworks too.

The Ravenclaw girl sighed, slightly staring upon a group of Hufflepuff fourth year on the table near her. They were all looking happy with their lives, not worrying about their expenses, not worrying about the war in between the light and dark, unlike (Y/N).

Sighing again, she looked down over to a new parchment, picked up her quill again, but was stopped when a hand held her shaking ones. Looking up instinctively, she saw a familiar bespectacled boy staring down at her trembling hand worriedly.

"What happened to your hands? Why is it shaking?" he asked, pulling a chair on a near table, placed it beside (Y/N)'s and sat down on it.

"It's nothing." said (Y/N), pulling her hand away from him. "Just — er — just overused, I think."

Harry sighed, looking over the things on the table with furrowed eyebrows. He soon realized what she was doing. He gazed back to his best friend with a weary look.

"(Y/N), I told you to stop doing this." he said, staring at her eyes.

"I have to do it, Harry." said (Y/N), pulling over her quill again, dipped over the ink pot and started writing a name she didn't own on the top of the parchment. "Or else, I won't be back for my last year in Hogwarts."

"I'm going to help you." said Harry pointedly. "You've seen my vault in Gringotts. I'm willing to share it with you."

(Y/N) looked up and smiled at her best friend.

"I can't, Harry." she said. "Those were yours. It's what your parents left you."

"(Y/N), you're my best friend. I would help you no matter what you needed. Just tell it away and don't be thick." said Harry, almost annoyed at his best friend's stubbornness.

"Honestly, Harry." chuckled (Y/N). "Just go with your other friends and enjoy the day instead of spending your time scolding me off. You know, Ginny might be looking for you."

"Nah, she's with Dean right now. I've seen them in the Quidditch pitch while going in here." said Harry grimly. "But I wanted to hang out with my best friend."
