"I still don't get it." Minsun muttered under her breath. "And I still don't understand why vares are so important. I've seen yours and mom's but they don't really seem that special."

Mark bit his lip, thinking to himself before deciding to give in. "Do you want to see your aunt's vare then?"

Minsun's eyes widened, staring at her father in surprise. "Really? You never let us into the library though."

"Maybe next time Xun comes, we can show both of you." Mark said, referring to Rosa and Kun's son who was Minsun's age. Misun and Xun were very close friends, often training and studying together. Mark tried his best to hide it from his daughter, but he was more than positive that there was a little spark between the two children.

"Xun would love that!" Minsun cheered before realizing what she said. "Um, because they're vares. And he hasn't found his either."

Mark couldn't help but find his daughter adorable, giving her puffy cheeks a little pinch. "I guess it's settled then."

The two soon reached Minsun's bedroom and as Mark tucked the girl in, he was glad that her mind seemed to be more at ease.

...

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Rosa mumbled as Mark took out the keys to the library that was forbidden to the young children. Minsun and Xun stood behind the two of them, both eager to see the two vares inside.

"They're at the age where they should be finding their vares so I'm still not worried. Plus, Jihyung is with Jisun so I'm not as concerned about the two of them breaking them." Mark said, slipping the key inside the lock.

Mark and Jisun had decided to keep their two little children away from the powerful vares stored inside the library.  Mark was scared that they might accidentally break one of them, and decided to play the safe route. Figuring that Minsun was now at the same age as when Grace found her vare, he figured it wouldn't hurt for them to see it.

"I'm so excited." Mark overheard Minsun whisper to the little boy beside her. "Do you know how powerful the vares inside are?"

Xun nodded his head before turning to his mother. "Inside is the golden pocket watch you talked about, right? The one that belonged to Jungwoo?"

"Yes, that's the one." Rosa said with a long sigh. "Not a family heirloom and not that powerful, but Jungwoo gave it to Grace before he died, so Mark here thinks it's important."

"They were soulmates, I couldn't separate them." Mark argued, unlocking the door to the library. "I would have placed the engagement ring with their vares too, but I figured it would have been better to bury her with it."

"Good choice." Rosa said as Mark opened the door and the two children rushed in. "Hey, be careful!"

"Whoa." Minsun breathed out as her eyes immediately went to the glass case in the centre of the library, Xun doing the same thing. They both eyed the King of Orenda as he walked towards the glass case, motioning them over as he lifted the glass.

Mark wasn't the least bit surprised when the two vares inside suddenly started glowing the second Minsun and Xun got close. The two children were, though, Xun looking at his mother one more time.

Minsun was mesmerized, her small hands reaching out, grabbing the silver choker. It wasn't until she was holding it in her hands and the glowing stopped that she realized her mistake, looking at the vare in her hands in horror.

"It's fine, it called out to you." Mark said before nodding to Xun, who was still staring at the golden pocket watch. "And you can grab that too. It's yours now."

"But it's not!" Minsun argued as Xun hesitantly picked up the pocket watch, making the glowing stop. "This belongs to Grace!"

"It's a family heirloom." Mark said, closing the glass case that was now empty. "It belonged to a lot of great people, Grace was just one of them."

"What about this?" Xun asked, holding up the pocket watch. "This only belonged to Jungwoo, no?"

"And now you." Rosa said, ruffling her son's hair. "The fact that even had a previous owner makes it special, Xun. Jungwoo may not have been a royal, but he was a noble that loved one."

"Dad, didn't you say that their spirits live on through these?" Minsun asked, tugging her father's arm.

Mark nodded his head, a smile on his face "It is. And it's through you that Orenda's story will live on as well."

The End.
