"That wild dog pup... He's a tough little guy. Boss, this is no time to be playing with animals. What are you gonna do, Boss?". Asked Miller more as reminder that he needed to flee from there than as a genuine question about the puppy's integrity.
"He's coming home." Snake said.
"Good choice–he wouldn't last long out here. The environmental NGO will take care of him."
"So that's the whining source, eh? I have other plans for him." Interrupted Ocelot.
Venom used Fulton and sent the puppy to Mother Base. A helicopter –not Pequod– picked him up. It extended its Fulton recovery arm. And luckily for everyone –and as The Master mentioned, the puppy was "a tough little guy" and could bear the shock of the extraction.
There was one thing that bothered Snake while waiting for Pequod: He couldn't help noticing how this Op resembled the infamous "Virtuous Mission" in which Naked Snake failed to rescue Nikolai Sokolov, Shagohod's creator.
